I used this for notching the ends of mdf window sills. It's not super high rpm but handled the task perfectly. Not sure how it will perform on actual wood, but it's very easy to use and makes accurate cuts with one hand. Bought it last October 2022, and to be fair, I tried many different applications before writing this review. Light weight & versatile (once you figure out how to utilize it's potential); battery performance is better than expected. Purchased additional blades from Amazon. Saws worked well on applications each was designed to perform. Since most of my battery operated tools are "older than god" (LOL); I'm leaning towards replacing them with Worx tools. Easy to use, switch blades. Battery life is enough to cut 16-20 linear feet of 3/4" plywood before it requires a 3-4 hour charge. Not ideal. performs great on drywall. The blades are quite thin and (naturally) subject to heating and warping. If making cuts deeper than 1/4", the warping results in a crooked line - even when using a saw guide. The solution I use now is to make multiple passes on the same line, using a straight-edge to guide the cut, and go 1/4" deeper on each pass. Not ideal, but it delivers much better results. Next time, I'll choose to buy a corded saw with a sturdier blade. ... show more

The saw is amazing. I always thought some wood in an hourly had some push back on me of the power so it's best to use both hands if you're able to. It is so nice not having to pull out an extension cord and then the saw and do your cuts just grab the tool plug in the battery and you're on your way. Worx tools are so awesome especially when the batteries fitting all of them I have several of their products so I have a lot of batteries and a few chargers so I always have batteries fully charged and ready to go for whatever project I have with whatever tool I am using with wWorx products. ... show more

I have read where others have complained it will not cut through soft wood. I have cut through medium hardwood 3/4” thick with no trouble at all. I just used it to cut the floor vent holes in newly installed flooring. Worked perfectly and made the job much quicker and easier. Great for many small jobs and easier than a circular saw in many instances, but, it is not a replacement! If your only going to have onehand saw, get a traditional circular saw. But if like me you are a home improvement addict and want something to make small jobs quicker...this thing is great! Note, battery life is short with a 1.5 ot 2.0 AH, but that is to be expected. If that's your complaint, pony up for a bigger battery or get something with a cord!! ... show more
