  • Defective both times
The screw holes for the middle portion were misaligned which meant it could not be assembled. So I requested a second one in exchange and it had the same issue. Was forced to return both.

  • Not That Great...At Least for me Thus Far Not That Great...At Least for me Thus Far
Disclaimer: It's still Winter and I have not tried this on the type of grass that you'd typically be cutting. I will update the review when I use it on green Spring grass. This Workpro reel mower is reminiscent of old-school manual push mowers from the early 20th century. Overall the components aren't terribly designed, but this product has one major issue that is hard to comprehend, and that is the fact that both the edge of the reel bars and edge of the stationary bar are pretty much blunt. Translation: You're basically beating the grass into submission instead of cleanly cutting it. This is lightweight, it's easy to maneuver, and actually seems to have a decent drive mechanism on both wheels. It has an easy to adjust cutting edge bevel, and relatively easy to adjust cutting height roller. It' very easy to get out of the box and assemble. The grass catcher is easy to attach, although it's small and not extremely effective. This unit is easy to store against a wall with a handle assembly that pivots out of the way. For being so lightweight the drive wheels actually get reasonable grip on grassy terrain. Even with all the good points the bottom line is that eventually you'll need to take this mower out into your yard to mow. This is where some issues will likely develop for you.... The reel edges aren't sharp and the bevel plate also isn't sharp, so you're not exactly "cutting" grass. You're basically forcing grass between two closely placed blunt edges and breaking the grass more so than cutting it. On very short and very delicate grass maybe you'll have some effective results. In taller grass that's lush or wirey grass that's tough you'll likely be very disappointed. I'm just hoping I can use this around a few particular spots in my yard where it's too tight for the riding mower. If this actually had some sharp cutting edges, then it would probably work much more effectively. I suppose a person could sharpen the edges themselves, but that seems unfortunate for a new product that's supposed to mow grass. I'd have to pass on this one again unless it works better in a few weeks, but it's doubtful it'll miraculously work better in thick and lush green grass. ... show more

  • Great At Cutting Grass, A Little More Tricky Using The Catcher Great At Cutting Grass, A Little More Tricky Using The Catcher
This Push Reel Lawn Mower is nice overall and surprisingly was really easy to push when the grass isn't too much higher than the setting. I was able to push the mower from the side of it with one hand. Thankfully, the only parts that needed to be assembled were the arm that extends from the mower base (to push and maneuver the mower) and the grass catcher. I realized that the 4 green knobs that were closest to the blades needed to be adjusted ever so slightly in order for the blade to rotate. Also, if you want to raise and lower the grass cutting height, these knobs are to be used. Please wear gloves or something safe when loosening these knobs because if the unit is bumped slightly, it can cause unfortunate problems while adjusting these. The grass catcher that is made for this mower, ultimately, feels like it wasn't. There are two black pegs on the backside of the mower that are used to hook on the grass catcher, but there is nothing to hold it on place at all. As well, the strap on the back of the grass catcher is meant to hook to the green part of the mower arm (on a central protruding notch). Essentially, the grass catcher can come off way too easily. When I mowed, sadly, if I lowered the arm too much, either the hook from the top of the arm would be naturally pushed up and come off, or more often, the two holes at the base of the catcher would lift off of the black pegs from a teeter totter type of effect. It did do a decent job of catching the grass while mowing, but when the grass catcher occasionally falls off and grass spills out, it can get a little frustrating. Also, there isn't an accessible handle that is a part of the grass catcher to dump the grass or move it around. There is no structure or overall solid form to grab it with anything less than two hands (when it contains grass). It may sound like I'm pointing out a lot of flaws, but when you look at the mower overall, it cuts very well, it does catch the grass well when you get used to using it, and the actual mower is solid and well built. If you don't mind getting used to the grass catcher (or simply not using it), it does a good job of cutting, considering that it is only human powered. ... show more

  • Good concept but weak build made of plastic on the shaft of the push rods. Good concept but weak build made of plastic on the shaft of the push rods.
Worked for like 10 minutes and was broken like a wimp. Very unstable and weak. Dont buy it. The mechanical gear keeps on locking making you jerk and the mid shaft broke almost right away.
