The entire thing comes with no instructions, but assembly is simple. Use the included torque screw and wrench to attach the wood pole to the flat base, then attach the top bar to the pole by hand-turning it in. Add the 3M non-slip pads to the base at the end (or start) if desired. I feel like it's worth noting that, once assembled, the top bar's attachment to the pole looked kind of crooked. The bar itself is "adjustable" by loosely leaving it unscrewed so it can turn in place—pretty convenient if you're hanging multiple headphones. I can turn it to access the headphone I want to take off this way. The bar can fit two, maybe three, of my headphones max, depending on wiring orientation, but two is the definite sweet spot for turning and removing them with ease. I don't feel it's worth marking off for the "crooked-ness" since it's not very noticeable after a few days, and it does not detract from its functional use. I wanted this because it was a space saver, and it does just that. The stand frees my desk space from cluttered headphones while keeping them available for use. The smooth wood finish is also a huge plus in book.

Lets be honest a beautiful wood stand for your headphones is very extra. But if you are going to do it you might as well do it right. This stand is beautiful, really nice wood with good grain. It is easy to put together and looks great on my desk. Would make a great gift for someone who seems to have it all.
