  • Good kit for the price.
Good kit and everything works very well. I have been trying to see if you could order more jaws for this vise. Can you let me know if that is possible.

Socket which holds the vice is too large and the thumb screw provided was rusted. The vice wobbles when trying to use it and I have the thumb screw as tight as it will go. The vice comes with a clamp which I am using but could have purchased it for much less.

  • Good kit but small but important part on the vice doesn’t work!
The screw which tightens the vice stem to the base doesn’t fit. Hopefully I can find a replacement or I will have to buy a new vice. Simple QC by the manufacturer or seller could have avoided this problem.

  • DO NOT TRUST THIS
The item was packaged poor, moisture was throughout the entire item. Some tools are rusty, broken and have green crystals on them as if they have been used or corroded. Not all the tools seem to be the right fit for the station. Returned the day after opening. Very disappointed.

  • Owned for about 5 years - Got the job done, but not very high quality overall
I have owned this vice for about 5 years or so, and overall it has gotten the job done, however the vice jaws themselves are just not of a very high quality. <----- If you take nothing else from this, that is probably a good summary. Pros: -The storage is pretty great actually, It kind of helps me keep my tying clutter and tools in check just a little better. I also glued some magnetic strips from used Teimco hook packs into the square holes and now can store loose hooks, beads, etc. -I've used this as an easy mobile tying station when fishing out of the back of my truck for a week on the road. and it did the job well. Cons: -THIS is honestly the biggest issue, I mean a vice is built for one thing after all, holding hooks, right? Well.. It seems that after not a much use I have always had to constantly crank down, and over adjust the two screws that are responsible for the tension on the hook. All in order to get them to "hopefully" stay in place when applying any amount of thread tension. This can make it very frustrating when wrapping a hackle collar only to have the hook slip down mid-process.. Ruined more than a few flies due to this issue. -The jaws themselves kind of just move back and forth a little within the aluminium arm that holds them in place, no matter how tight that little set screw on the back is. More of an irritation, but probably contributes to the above problem as well. Again, a vice should probably focus on being a good VICE first, and then add the fancy toolbox.. ** I acquired this from a friend who just fell off the tying wagon, so I don't think many of the original tools came with it. Therefore I can not speak to their quality. ... show more
