Needed to replace my 8” stovetop fan. Thought this item was an upgrade of dual 6-8” fans. NOT. This item is 2 x 4” fans, the equivalent of my previous fan. It is quiet & works as expected, just smaller. Would recommend, keeping the size in mind.

The media could not be loaded. When I first took this out of the box, I was kind of surprised at how small the fans were. See video which has “regular size” stove fans in the background. However, these little dual fans move more air than the big fans! They also start spinning at a lower temperature. To say I’m impressed at how much air these little fans move is an understatement. I’ve only had this on my stove for a few weeks so I will update this review if there are any longevity problems but so far I am very impressed and I prefer this double unit to the larger fans. The media could not be loaded. This is a very cool heat powered wood stove fan with two blades. I don't recall ever seeing one with two blades. And as a bonus it comes with a magnetically mounted flue thermometer. The packaging was excellent with a stout box and cardboard and foam inserts to keep the unit protected. I put the fan on a moderately warm wood stove and it started spinning rapidly within a minute. It's really cool to see two blades spinning. I have this pointed straight at the chimney pipe to extract the maximum heat. In a quiet room the fan can be heard making a slight squeaking noise. Very faint. Likely couldn't be heard with the TV on but still it's there. Also the thermometer reads flue temperature on the low side but that could be because it's a surface mount as compared to a probe type. Still it's useful to know that you are not overdriving your stove. Over all a neat little heat powered fan. ... show more
