I tested today and it is surprisingly a great quality coat. Nice front deep pockets and inside pocket, and a zipper pocket for keys. The feel of the coat is wonderful. I weighed it, it is lightweight. I wish it can be more packable/ foldable, but it would still work great for chilly outings. I haven't tried if it is water resistant. I will try it when we have some rain forecast. I will bring this in September for my cold coastal hikes in the early morning in Portugal Camino. The ties on the hood is perfect to keep my head warm, and hopefully dry. The fleece lining is a great touch for warmer feel. I would wear this coat with Merinos clothing. I gave this jacket 4 stars. First the overall construction is that this is a very well made jacket. The seams were secured and there were very little hang threads that were not removed before shipment. Secondly, there are many zippered pockets that should hold all that I need to carry with me (i.e., phone, car keys, tissue packet, money and coins, gloves, and picture ID, lip balm). The fabric is soft and flexible and had a "rubber" feel to it. I assume that is the waterproofing feature. The fleece lining was warm and should be fine in cooler weather. It may be too hot for summer months and not warm enough for winter (depending on where you live in the world). I live in the Midwest and probably will not be wearing this in January or February. I wore it on a 40 degree day in Novemeber that was overcast and windy. It kept me very warm walking across an open parking lot to a front door. The reason for the 1 star ding was that even though the jacket is machine washable, it CANNOT go in the dryer. It washed fabulously, but took forever to air dry. Another reason for the 1 star ding is the color choices. I would have have preferred to have more options from which to choose instead of the "basics" offered. I chose the navy and it's nice and I definitely will be keeping this jacket. ... show more

Extremely nice rain jacket. It has a good lining for warmth and fits my tall body well. It’s maybe a little large, but that’s ok for me. The only con is that that body drawstring isn’t at the waistline. It’s right at the bottom of my ribcage.

I love this coat. I ordered a size up so that it would accommodate heavy sweatshirts and it does! I went for a 20 minute walk this morning with a heavy sweatshirt and this coat. It kept me comfortably warm, even with the outside temperature of 32. The pockets are deep enough for my 32 oz water jug and are at a comfortable slant and position for my hands. ... show more
