Fit: This fits really nice on me and I’m so pleased! I’m 5’5 and 195ibs and the large was still a bit roomy for me but I feel if I went with a medium it’d be uncomfortable with the padding. Comfort: The mesh on this is a bit scratchy, but it’s not horrible. If you wear a thin long sleeve shirt underneath it would work just fine but I can bare with it. Otherwise the material is very breathable and would work great under sweatshirt’s or hoodies which I’m so happy with! Appearance: to be honest I wouldn’t be opposed to wearing this by itself, but I honestly got it as a base layer an to wear hoodies or tshirts over it. If you decide to wear it over a shirt though I’d say it looks okay! Protection: if I had to rate this alone out of 5 I’d give it a 3. I can see the padding holding up okay in a crash, but the material of the shirt itself is questionable. It’s quite thin, and I could see it tearing quickly in a high speed crash. Hopefully that’s something none of us would ever have to worry about, but it’s something we have to consider. Overall: A solid affordable alternative to higher priced gear. Would I upgrade when I have the money? Probably, but for now this will do! ... show more

So, these run small. My wife is 5'3" 140 and had to get a large. The actual jacket is semi-form fitting. We do not use the rubber inserts as it makes you look like a football player. We got this BC it was inexpensive and we need it for our trip to Europe.

I am 5’2” , 135lbs. I have broader back/shoulders so I went with medium. Fits perfectly and it is very breathable and I’m sure would be good for summer rides with a shirt under or a sweatshirt over it in the winters. All the armor pieces fit perfectly and isn’t loose. For the pricing point, I’d say 5 stars for the overall fit to my body and for peace of mind in the summers. As a female it’s hard finding gear that fits me, nicely. If I’m being honest though, I’d give it 3 stars in the protection department. I’m not sure how it would do in a slide, the material is very thin. I just hope I never have to find out. I’m 5’5” 175lbs, and bought a size large. It fits great, but is extremely thin, but there are armor pads. I’m now sure how durable/safe it is in a crash…,but if you can’t afford a $250+ armored riding jacket, I suppose it’s better than nothing! It’s very breathable, has some stretch, mesh side panels, breathable sleeves. Full zip, no pockets. Comfortable. I tried it on when it came in the mail so I haven’t gone for a ride in it yet.
