I bought this to go with my vampire costume, for Halloween. For context I’m 5’1”, 38DD weigh about 160. I bought both the 3x (based on reviews) and the 2x (based on size chart) and ended up returning the 3x. I will say the top was loose which was unexpected since a lot of reviews said not for big chests. The back was laced up at the widest I could go so black flap underneath wasn’t showing my skin which worked for me. I definitely needed another person to help lace it properly and there was a lot of trial and error to get it right. Once we had the back right it was a struggle to get it unhooked in the front and to rehook it when it was time to put it back on so be prepared for that! I wore it to my first party and I noticed when I took it off it stayed the shape of my body and I couldn’t straighten it back out. So when I wore it the second time it did start to irritate my sides at the end of the night bc the “boning” was already bent when I put it on. I could maybe get one more wear out if it but that’s about it. Looked great on and I got tons of compliments but it’s definitely a costume piece and not something you can add to your regular going out tops!! You get what you pay for and for me it worked out great because the price was perfect and it held up great for both parties I had! ... show more

I have worn many corsets in my time as an avid costumer, I'm talking decently made from lingerie shops to hand made in accurate historical style from seamstresses, but I gained weight and needed one that wouldn't break the bank and quickly for an unexpected Halloween event. These were great for the price, quite sturdy, especially at the clasps. However I was unable to wear this style that covers the full torso (I went with their underbust corset and would definitely recommend that style!) because it fit everywhere but the bust. The bust was too large though the rest fit wonderfully (I'm about 230lbs, 5'8", and pretty large DD bust size) and even if my bust were larger, they would have spilled out. There's something about the construction that has almost no breast support. Part of it is that the boning or support on the sides of the bust isn't enough so instead of giving the cup-and-lift amazing cleavage, it's like a sloppy shelf of cleavage spilling out everywhere. I was afraid the girls would pop right out so I didn't wear it. If that problem were addressed, these would be amazing. I would highly recommend their underbust corset, it was great! ... show more

I absolutely LOVE this corset! It was perfect for my Halloween costume and I felt comfortable all night, even dancing. It is a real corset though, so be prepared to feel tight and some might have trouble breathing. The quality is excellent and I love the way it fastens in the front and ties/tightens in the back. For sizing this is important! I normally wear a large to XL, but with the corset I got a 4XL. I’m thicker around the waste which is why I chose that size. Pay attention to the sizing. Fastening the front is a bit difficult the first few times because of how stiff the design is, but once one figures out the right positioning it is easy to fasten and even easier to tie by yourself. I'm 5'3, 132 lbs, measurements: 36/33/38in. I usually wear medium but went up to a large for this corset. I had bought an XL previously and it was fine, but a little bit loose on the bust area. The large turned out to be a beautiful piece for the poison ivy halloween costume I put together. The clasps in the front were a little difficult to maneuver but once they're in, it feels sturdy - even while sitting. It's a very cute top and it fit technically great except.... I'm busty (36F) and the top part felt flimsy. The first knot in the back does not make the top part tighter so I wore a bra underneath.... If not people would be able to look into it and see my boobs. I don't know if it's because the person that tightened it didn't do a good job but i had to put bobby pins to keep it from falling (and also had to lift it throughout the day). The color was perfect, it felt comfortable, and i felt great in it. Just wish it was a bit more hourglass like the picture so it would fit better(again maybe it.was the person that tightened it that didn't do it as securely). for the price it was totally worth it - i had other corsets that were more expensive and felt flimsy so this was a great purchase option.
