I normally wear a 3X, bought a 3X, the fit is very comfortable. I have room to wear things underneath and it's just super comfy. It seems really warm but I haven't been in very cold weather yet. I also I'm curious to see how water resistant it might be, so I will update on that as well. The downside is it is slightly garbage bag like, but I think that's kind of how these things are especially if you buy black. I'm not really deducting from it because I don't think a different brand of the same style jacket would look LESS like a garbage bag LOL I'm hoping this will serve me well on my Alaskan cruise! 2023 update: this has genuinely proven to be one of my most favorite purchases. It is pretty warm, versatile, and amazing for travel. You can even use it as a little pillow. I agree with the person who said she would like elastic at the sleeves. Love this coat. Lightweight but warm. Fit is roomy enough for winter clothes underneath. My second one, literally wore the first one out.

This jacket is light to wear, but still warm. Love how it's long enough in the back to cover what needs to be covered! It was a plenty roomy, but I like it that way so I can easily wear a large sweater under it.

Like this jacket as it is very light weight - don't like bulky, heavy jackets. It DOES (my opinion) run a bit big, (**NOTE: CHECK SIZING CHART!!) thought about returning for next size down, but, was worried it would be TOO tight them...so, kept, "as is" which is okay if wearing a hoodie, or bulky sweater/sweatshirt underneath. Not terribly stylish - would be nice with some "trim" or color insets, but, functional, price okay, and serves its purpose. This jacket is way warmer than I expected, especially cuts the wind (we have a LOT of wind!) and is a bit longer than most jackets, so covers your hind parts! :0) Would buy again. ... show more

I liked the fit as well as the warmth of this jacket. The material enabled me to use it in two ways: either as a stand alone jacket or as a layer under a heavier coat. I have wanted these jackets for a very long time. I was going to order two other colors but I've changed my mind. My simple hoody from Walmart has a thicker feel to it. It's definitely not a puffer jacket!! Size fits fine. Pockets are nice. It's NOT WORTH the money tho, it's like a hoody it also came wrinkled up like mad. I'm so upset. But if u want a super thin very very thin what ever you wanna call it; not a puffer jacket tho, then it's great for you. If you're actually looking for a puffer jacket go to Walmart. The shape is not very pleasing. Also the fabric makes it seem like you are wearing a black hefty sack (my husband calls it my trash bag coat.) Its kind of plastic-y looking and shiny. Nice - light weight jacket - very warm - I get compliments on my jacket all the time (Black). I normally wear a 1x so I purchased in a 2xx just to be safe. It's a little big but not overly. I say its true to size. I might buy it in another color!
