These boots are by far the best boots I have ever worn. I hope this model will still exist for a long time to come as I habe been buying these exact model for 15 years! The best boots! They could wear out moderetly quickly in a uear if you are a sloppy person but they can last two years if you are not sloppy.

I love these boots. This is my third pair in six years. I do replace the included insoles with custom-fit ones, as I do in all my shoes, so I can't accurately rate them on comfort and support out-of-the-box, but I wear them all day most days and I've never experienced any discomfort after the first day or two of breaking them in. They hold up reasonably well - incredibly, for the price - and can take a beating and still polish up to look quite nice. The uppers are pretty much indestructible. My only complaint is that the sole isn't stitched to the uppers, only glued, and the adhesive starts to break down after a year and a half or so of regular wear. I've gotten an average of 2 years out of each pair, which is great for the price, but if you want your boots to last longer than that, I'd recommend the Wolverine Steel Toe Raider Boot.

I have wide feet...I wear a 12 4E and finding shoes and boots that fit well is a difficult task. When these boots arrived I put them on and before I laced them up I was actually a little worried that they might be a little too wide! After lacing them up and walking around for a few minutes I decided they actually fit really well. This is the first pair of footwear I have owned that haven't fit "like a glove", in other words shoes that fit tight. As I sit here typing this I can tell you that my feet have room to wiggle around a bit without being too loose. I've only had them for a week and I haven't been able to test them on snow and ice yet (but will as I live in Montana) so I will report back with an update once I've had some real weather to test them in! So far, I would highly recommend these for anyone who wears a 4E!

I expect an "extra wide" to be a 4E but there are not (in size 12). Sole is too soft and uncomfortable on rocks, where I do most of my walking. Insoles are thin and useless but an upgraded insole helped right away. Aside from not being a true EW, boot is spacious inside. The search continues.

So I bought the 4E wide version because the old EW version I’ve had for a while were never wide enough and actually caused me to develop a bunion. Well, it’s a no go. Held the boots against each other and literally 0 difference from the EW to 4E. I’ve come across this with other wolverines in recent years, where they just label them as being wide but there’s no change between the widths of their boots. Bring back the old Raider steel toe.
