The shoe has a nice finish that is good for work. The shoe was a bit tight getting on at first, but it loosened up after a couple days. I've only had the shoes for a couple weeks, but I'm satisfied.

The boots came a little tight for me in the instep, but I like them so much that I decided to try to break them in and stretch them out. I'm a bit disappointed with the boots and am returning them. I have been wearing the same size wolverine work boots for over 30 years and purchase a new pair about every 18 months. Never a size problem till this pair. I wear a size 11D and that was the size ordered and the label in the boots. When trying the boots on they were at least a size 12 or larger and a wide to extra wide. What ever they are, they were way to big. This may just be a one off but just posting this as a heads up should you decide to purchase a pair. I tryed to do a amazon exchange for another pair but amazon exchange directed me to contact Wolverine direct and wait on hold longer than it would take to drive to a store and try a pair on before purchase. ... show more

Negatives: -Very tight on my arch and top of my foot with the insole inserts -Toe cap is soft and feels like it’s made out of crunchy plastic. Weird. Half star off. -Seems to be a breaking in period because my toes still feel stiff after a long walk. Another half star off. Positives: -Quality insole inserts and very thick which is either a negative or positive depending on size of your arch -Took out the inserts and put in thinner inserts and they fit the way a size 13 should fit for me -The look is great as is the durability thus far -“Waterproofing” should be a positive but haven’t tested them in rain or snow yet UPDATE: Right toe started hitting the front of the boot as I continued to walk. Even though they fit fine out of the box, the space between the toe and front of the boot was minimal. I learned I needed more than just a centimeter of space to feel comfortable. So increased size from 13 to 14. Foot is not swimming. So far so good. But again time will tell on durability ... show more
