  • Great boots so far!
Size: 11 Color: Coffee Bean
I just received these yesterday (7/15/22) and so far they’re great. First Impressions: They’re visually great looking boots in my opinion. They’re a tiny bit darker in person than in the photos but that’s better for me. Pretty smooth leather all around with some nice breaking towards the top. They have a strong sorta minimal look as you can see in the photos. I’m, personally, not a big fan of other boots with so much on the outside like rubber toe padding. These are clean and great. Fit and Comfort: So far they’re incredibly snug (in a good way). They don’t suffocate my feet and they’re a pleasure to walk in. The fit is excellent. I’ve worn other shoes size 11 and while most fit well some run too large or too small but these are true to size. The Boa adjustment is also great as it evenly tightens the entire boot. Like every other high top boot it takes a some force to remove them. Features: This boot comes with some neat safety features that are useful for many trades. Since they have no steel/aluminum toe they are great against electrical hazards. The composite toe is light and protects just as fine for most situations. While there is no mention of puncture resistance I’ve asked in the Q&A before my purchase and some customers mentioned they are. Once they arrived I checked them myself and they do have a hard layer under the insole apart from the rubber sole under the shoe so while I wouldn’t recommend falling foot first into nails to test them out 😄they seem to offer at least some protection. Now the outside material looks like it might get tough to clean, specially if you work near a lot of dirt or cement. They’re work boots so I don’t think you’ll be able to keep them pristine if you work in tough conditions but regular oiling will at least make them last longer, it seems. —— Overall these are great looking and feeling boots. I will update after a few months use to give feedback on how long that comfort lasts and how they handle working conditions over time. ... show more

  • Favorite Work Boot
Size: 11 Color: Coffee Bean
Buying my second pair after 4 years, Love the laces they've seen over 100 different shops from concrete, grease, oil, metal grates, welding, they've held up great. The old bottom had pieces starting to come off which it looks like they've improved that. I've tried Red Wing not a fan. I like Carolinas but these have been my favorite. ... show more

  • These Boots Made Me a Time Traveler
Size: 12 X-Wide Color: Coffee Bean
I bought these Wolverine BOA composite toe boots for work. I expected safety, durability, and maybe fewer smashed toes. What I didn’t expect was to feel like a futuristic cyborg construction worker from the year 3099. The BOA lacing system? Absolute game-changer. I twist that little dial and bam — snug fit, zero effort. I haven’t tied a shoelace in weeks and honestly? I feel emotionally free. I may never go back. I’m one click away from challenging Batman to a boot-off. Comfort? Like walking on firm mashed potatoes. The composite toe is solid, but doesn’t make me feel like I’m wearing two microwaves on my feet. Waterproofing is so good, I confidently stomped through a puddle like I was auditioning for a dramatic music video. My only complaint? People keep asking to try them on. Sorry, Steve from HR — get your own. Highly recommend. They protect your feet and your dignity. And if the zombie apocalypse happens? I’m outrunning everyone—with dry socks. ... show more

  • Remember those Velcro shoes you had as a kid?
Size: 11.5 Color: Coffee Bean
Tired of lacing your boots? Wish you could have the convience of Velcro without being judged by your peers? Ever wonder how much more you could get done if you could get those 20 seconds of your life spent tying your laces back? GUESS NO FURTHER. With the BOA system, I can be laced up and ready to rock and roll within mere SECONDS. Remember those sick light up Velcro shoes that you used to have as a kid? These are basically those, but without the lights. It's that easy. They're incredibly easy to put on and remove and stay tight all day. Great for people that are required to climb or work at heights. They take a few weeks to break in, but they've held up better than some of my $300 pairs of boots. I've owned two pairs of these so far with zero issues in quality or wear. Wore the first pair daily for about 2.5 years and only replaced due to receiving funds to buy new work gear. ... show more

  • Feel like they didnt last as much
Size: 9.5 X-Wide Color: Coffee Bean
I recently purchased the Wolverine I-90 EPX BOA CarbonMax 6” Boot Men’s for around $170, and overall, they’ve been good boots with some standout features. The BOA lace system is honestly one of the best parts—it makes putting the boots on and taking them off insanely easy and fast, which is a huge plus for everyday use. That said, the durability depends a lot on the type of work you’re doing. I use mine for general construction, including concrete work, framing, and dealing with rebar, and that kind of heavy-duty use definitely takes a toll on them. They didn’t last as long as I personally would’ve liked under those conditions. Even so, I’d still recommend them, especially if you’re looking for convenience and comfort. Just keep in mind that if you’re doing very rough construction work daily, you may see wear sooner than expected. ... show more

  • Love the BOA system
I’ve been pretty much daily driving these for the past 3 months. They are holding up great and I feel tactical af clicking these suckers in every morning. • Grip is good on a variety of surfaces(I’m in greasy, slippery environments) • BOA system is super handy, it tightens up evenly and allows for quick removal and putting on which was my main selling point. • Factory insoles are decent, but I always upgrade. • Only gripe is they caused some irritation during the first couple weeks where my ankle flexes, but I’ve since worn them in or built a callus. ... show more

  • Wonderful Boots
Size: 9.5 Color: Coffee Bean
My previous work boots, while steel toed, ended up having a hole in the sole from stepping on the cut off trunk of a small tree. I also found that I had to stop and re-tie those boots frequently throughout the day. This inevitably happened at the most inconvenient times. I selected these boots because to the Boa tightening system. I have Boa snowboard boots and wondered if I could find Boa work boots. I love the Boa system. They are easy to get on and often, and they stay tight all day. The soles are much sturdier than my previous boots and the carbon toes are strong, yet light. And they boots are waterproof! I am surprised to have found such a great boot for such a reasonable price. The only problem I have experienced is that I am an Ohio State fan, and it’s a bit uncomfortable wearing something labeled “Wolverine.” ;0) ... show more
