It's a good shoe, I would change out the sole, however, since the one that comes inside of it doesn't feel that great. Otherwise, it didn't take a lot of time to break in and I wear it all the time, now.

I buy a pair of these twice per year for my son to wear working part-time as a cart attendant at a big box store. They are the only boots that he has found that don't seem to hurt his feet. Also, they do a good job of protecting his ankles. Alas, the soles tend to wear out in about 6 months and they are far from waterproof. If he gets caught in the rain, I'll have to dry them out with an electric heater or box fan overnight. ... show more

    • I have always loved the wolverine work boot.

The last pair my wife purchased from Amazon had lasted me 4 to 5 years and they're still together and holding up. The tread is a little worn on the bottom of my old pair but they are still usable. Wife always told me I needed to get a new pair of boots so I finally broke down and bought a new pair.
