Package actually came in a bit earlier than expected by a couple of days. The figure was not bubble wrapped or secured, so it probably is explanation for the bends, but you can tell that it has wear on it like its been stored somewhere for a long time as the cardboard itself was fraying. It was completely unopened when it came in, but if you wanted to keep it in the package for collection or display, maybe not. That being said, for what it is and considering the fact that I do not believe they are even made any more, its reasonable to say that I am surprised that there is no further damage. The figure itself is in good condition, and it is a Japan edition, which was what I wanted.

I have zero experience with collectible figures, but considering the fact that I was expecting this to be cheap factory-painted plastic, expectations were certainly exceeded. It's sturdy enough for little kids to play with (collective gasp of horror around the room, but honestly), pretty enough to look at for adults to collect, and useful enough in-game to make it a completely worthwhile buy. This amiibo is supposed to work with a handful of games, though I'm assuming most players who buy it are mostly in it for Breath of the Wild as I was. In BotW this does give you Wolf Link, the doggo companion who fights, hunts, and searches for shrines by your side. However, Wolf Link will only ever have three hearts unless you also have the Wii U game Twilight Princess HD, where you'll need to go through the Cave of Shadows if you want to get your furry friend up to a lovely twenty hearts. (While I've heard you can automatically get Wolf Link up to twenty hearts just by connecting it to the Twilight Princess game, I'm not sure if that was a single-instance glitch, since I haven't heard it often enough for it to seem like the norm.) Even with only three hearts, having Wolf Link in-game is pretty dope and useful. I was worried he would die instantly with how little health he had, but he does a good job of dodging hits (though warning: he does get hit by friendly fire, so watch out for underfoot wolf). You can also feed him to restore his health. If you ever lose him in the vast expanses of the map, you can scan your amiibo again to have him come back to you -- but once he's dead, you've got to wait until the next day to bring him back. He's also not so great to have around when you're wanting to take pictures with animals (he likes to hunt, apparently) or sneak up on anything (the chain around his paw makes a good bit of noise). Overall, this is a great investment for all your traipsing across the kingdom of Hyrule -- it is, after all, dangerous to go alone.

Adds a beautiful Wolf companion into the Zelda BOTW (Breath of the Wild) Nintendo Switch game. He hunts game for Link (lots of meat for inventory) and helps fight enemies. He can be re-spawned daily by using the Amiibo, and will travel with Link whether he is on foot or on horseback. He cannot fast travel with Link but can be re-spawned to the new location (multiple times in one day). If you need to go into stealth mode you can tell him to "stay" and he will do so (for a while). The statue itself is beautiful and weighty. Very detailed and solid. Wolf comes with only 3 hearts but actually is very agile and tends not to get injured when fighting, especially if Link helps out and finishes off the monsters quickly. If injured you can feed him "meat" and he will heal. Honestly the only times he has gotten killed in my game is when I accidentally hurt him while fighting monsters. Sad! But the next day he can return to the game, so its not so tragic! Wolf Link is my favorite Amiibo to date, 'cause who doesn't want (and need) a wolf companion?!

Packaging was in good condition. Kinda felt bad opening it heh. The amiibo itself looks awesome! I loved TP but I played the orignal not the remake on Wii U. However, the amiibo still works but only has three hearts! He will keep spawning until he is killed, but you can use him again the next day (real life not game) or reload a previous save before wolf link is killed! Also you can drop uncooked meat or apples infront of wolf link and he eats them to heal ❤ Overall, awesome figure, packaging, and works on BOTW. But if you didnt have Twilight Princess on Wii U you only get 3 hearts but if you did your wolf link can have up to twenty I believe. He is very good for the beginning of the game and for free roaming around! Its pretty fun to have him around and that nostalgic twilight aound when he teleports is super satisfying to me LOL

I am swollen with satisfaction! I missed out on these unique amiibo especially the Wolf Link amiibo. Despite the price gouging I had no choice and had to be done. Fortunately the price was feasible for me. Now I can digitally invest in The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD but for now I will play Breath of the Wild with Wolf Link on my side! ❤🐺

***UPDATE*** It works! You just have to register the device with your Switch first. On your Switch, go to the Home screen --> System Settings --> select Amiibo -->Register Owner and Nickname. Hold the amiibo to your controller and complete the registration fields. This process is in addition to turning on the amiibo rune within the BotW game. The wolf character pops up and it is lots of fun, especially if you have a wolf-obsessed kid.
