This would be the second one I bought in the month. (First one was defective…. Not from this seller) and I’m in love with it. I have it set up the way I want it. It’s clean. No scratches. Not sure if it is a user problem or just a defect. But the port cover for the micro sd card and the game reader. It doesn’t click all the way so it has a gap. Not picky about it but if you’re looking for one. I’d recommend one from here :)

Works. More damaged/scuffed than I would have liked for the price. Also came with the right speaker unit not working but I was able to replace myself.

I’m gonna start with the small stuff. The hinge is a little worn out (which is fine, it’s refurbished), the volume slider is loose and won’t stay in a position at all, and the right bumper doesn’t click. I don’t know if the last issue would affect gameplay, because the 2ds wont charge. It came with a charger that is already loose and wiggles around, and I have tried the charger I used with my ds lite around 10ish years ago (which was somehow better). The charging indicator lights up for all of 10 seconds then goes black. I have been trying to charge it for the last 2 hours and It won’t even turn on. Do not buy from this manufacturer. Horrible product. Personally I’m getting a refund and buying from someone else. 0/5 if I could.

I was expecting "excellent" condition as the listing states, but I'd honestly rate it closer to good/fair. Aesthetically it looks decent: the top screen has a slight scratch, the bottom one is flawless "Note: the scratches you see are from a screen protector I bought". But a few things don't quite match what was promised: Pros: Works as you would expect. Came with Mario Kart 7 pre-installed as a bonus (not mentioned in the listing, so this might just be luck as Nintendo did have some 2ds XL that ship bundled with MK7). Now... unlike what other buyers mentioned, mine arrived 100% stock, no mods so yeah, no weird things on the background. Some of the cons from my experience: The included charger is generic, made of pretty cheap-feeling plastic and the cable well...you can imagine haha. It works, but I wouldn't say it meets the terms of the promised quality. The Amiibo reader doesn't work. I tested with an amiibo I know is fine (both my Switch and Wii U read it without issues), so the problem is on the console's end. The first cartridge I tried wasn't detected. When I took it out, I noticed a white residue on the pins, like sugar or something similar. After carefully cleaning it and blowing on the cartridge, it now reads fine. Not sure if this is on the seller or how Amazon stores these items, but it was unexpected for a "refurbished" product. Anyway... it's a functional, playable console, but the actual condition doesn't fully match the "excellent condition" description. If you're after a 2DS XL for casual use, it gets the job done, but don't expect it to be like-new/mint condition as you'll really need luck to be on your side for that to happen.

Game slot a bit hard to read games but works, but touch screen does not work at all, and it makes it almost impossible to play some games.

So far I’ve used it for a few hours, (data transfer, fiddling around, and purchasing a few more games) currently charging it and it has worked really well. I didn’t even expect to get AR cards but I did! I love how it’s really light too compared to my New 3ds XL. My only complaint is pretty minor, but that is that while new devices are ~$120-$150, I paid ~$200 for a refurbished device. But again Its not much of a complaint because at the moment any gaming console in high demand because of quarantine. It’s well worth the price especially I’ve been wanting to play Ocarina of time lol

Honestly didn’t trust the quality of Amazon Renewed and when looking through similar seller’s customer reviews I was skeptical. But I can say without a doubt when I received the product I was extremely satisfied with the quality of the console. Would buy again!
