  • Nintendo New Galaxy 3DS XL... Worth it! Nintendo New Galaxy 3DS XL... Worth it!
Color: Galaxy
I have ordered a Refurbished - Excellent: Nintendo New Galaxy 3DS XL. Through Amazon's shipping, I received this beautiful New Galaxy 3ds xl early! The system had everything with it to get started as I was provided with a charger with the system listing I had chosen through CaveGamers, and it did have the stylus. I've thoroughly inspected the New 3ds xl exterior and interior. The exterior barely any cosmetic wear whatsoever! There's not much that could've been concerning. There was maybe one or two surface level scratches on the top and bottom of the case, but you have to go out of your way to notice or feel them. No chips in the paint and I like how the Galaxy shines! As for the inside of the system, it's also in excellent condition. I tried out all of the buttons and they felt snappy as they should. There wasn't any damage or scratches on the screens or other cosmetic damage that I was able to tell. All that I needed to do was let the system charge as it was dead on arrival. I ordered a replacement battery as I know these systems and their batteries are starting to reach their end cycle. The battery currently in the system looked fine but was barely bloating so I'm upgrading with a new regardless. Either way, the new 3ds xl turned on after getting the battery to full. I was welcomed to the setup screen. The screens were working as intended too, with no dead pixels and the 3D with its tracking is reliable. Overall, the system looked like it was barely used! While I used to have the old 3DS in Red as a kid, this feels so far as a great upgrade! I am impressed with what I received and feel this is what I would've expected. I'm going to relive my childhood! ... show more

  • Find one you can actually look at first. Find one you can actually look at first.

Arriving in "excellent quality" and being cracked at the bottom is entirely unacceptable. Can't hold this thing without it creaking like I dropped it on concrete. As you'll see in the video, I'm not pressing hard at all and it's horribly loud. The DS itself works great but don't trust their quality of what they say it'll arrive in. I get this is an old console and no longer in production, but I fully expected better. ... show more

  • Excellent product :) Excellent product :)
Color: White
I usually am worried about buying used consoles, especially online. But I was not disappointed when I bought this!🙂 I got the white 3ds xl and the touch screen, buttons, 3d effect, and everything work as it should. There are only tiny scratches around the corners, but it was expected and honestly isn’t that noticeable unless you really look up close. The screen itself has not a single scratch. Also, once I got the console out of the box I noticed it was the Japanese 3ds ll, thinking I was getting the regular 3ds xl. It made me really worried if it was region locked, but all my games work and that’s the only thing I care about lol. Overall, I definitely think it was worth the money! I grew up mostly playing regular ds games on my dsi xl, so I am excited to play games I missed out on🥰 ... show more

  • Nearly perfect! Nearly perfect!
Color: Galaxy
Seller: Base Electronics Overall, the condition of the console was great. The unit feels very sturdy, and the hinges are tight—it takes a bit of force to open and it snaps shut nicely. All buttons appear to be fully functional so far, and I haven’t run into any issues. The console I received was reshelled and still had the protective film on it. The colors look great, but it did not come with a serial number. The screens are practically flawless, although I did notice a few dust particles under the screen protector, which I hope won’t cause any issues down the line. I also noticed that some buyers received a charger with their unit, but mine did not. That may be seller-dependent, especially since this console originally did not come with a charger. Overall, I’m happy with what I received. The main downsides were the missing serial number, the dust under the screen, and a slightly misaligned shell—but it snapped into place after a small adjustment. If you’re buying a unit, this might be one of the more reasonably priced sellers. *case and screen protector were not included ... show more

  • I love this thing
Color: Galaxy
While I’ve wanted a 3DS for years, it was hard to justify paying almost the price of a current generation console for a handheld device. Which I wasn’t even sure how much I would actually use. I would always read about games, especially RPGs, that couldn’t be played anywhere else. But finally after getting attached to my sons 3DS, I decided to get one for myself. While it was listed as refurbished ($160 i think), my device must be brand new. It didn’t have so much as a fingerprint on it, and the screens and buttons appeared untouched. My model seems to have the more favorable IPS screens that come standard in the newest ones. The image quality and 3d is amazing. Probably my favorite aspect is how tactile everything is. After a while I forget how small the viewing area is, and I’m absorbed into other worlds that I hold in my hands. Its a different experience than i could get from even the nicest TV. And I was unsure about the C stick, but after some practice I love using it in games that have a free camera. Like in Xenoblade Chronicles, for an example. I only wish that I had gotten one of these sooner, because it seems the 3DS is at the end of its life cycle. I’m trying to catch up on all of the classic role playing games I’ve missed out on, like Bravely Default, Shin Megami Tensei, and Etrian Odyssey. And a couple of my current favorite games are “Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask” and “a Link Between Worlds.” While the image quality in general can seem kind of low, games that have 3D effects change everything entirely. It’s still awe inspiring every time I move the 3d slider up, and characters and scenery suddenly become physical objects. It puts a completely different perspective on whatever I’m playing, that i can’t get from anywhere else. My only complaint about this little system is the battery life. The higher quality visuals and 3d of the New 3DS XL come with a price...if you play with the 3d cranked up, make sure there is a power source nearby. And charging times don’t seem overly long, but I’ve never timed it. Overall, if it’s in your budget and you think it might be worth it, then it probably will be. You can play everything from massive RPG worlds to classic remasters and brain teaser games to keep occupied with for just a few minutes. I also recommend the leatherette carrying case with Legend of Zelda on it. It holds several game cartridges and keeps your 3DS safe. Personally I prefer the physical games, but if you go digital it only comes with a 32 gig SD card, so you may need more storage ... show more

  • Mid at Best
Color: Galaxy
Overall it was okay. Positives: - Works Correctly - Visually in good order, very minor scratches/scuffs - Pretty clean for being pre-owned refurbished Negatives: - For whatever reason US nor Canada were an available option for Region when doing the initial setup, don't really know why since it's definitely not region locked (I tested with a game) - Did not come with a charger for the handheld - Did not come with the actual box for the console like the one that is pictured in the photos - The cost for this just doesn't really match my expectations of what I got, if it was just going to be the console without a charger and without the original stylus I honestly should have spent the same amount of money or more to get it CIB on eBay... So overall take some time to do more research if you are looking for something to scratch your "retro" itch or 3DS itch. I think the increase in these handheld's age will only increase their price so if you do want something right here and now this is not a bad choice but just do some due diligence and maybe check out some physical stores. ... show more

  • Does not match "Excellent" condition that I paid extra money for.
Color: Galaxy
Ordered as a "Renewed" for "Excellent" condition. While the overall condition of the console was fairly good, there are quite a few issues and flaws. 1. As others have stated, the shell is 3rd party reshell, and doesn't exactly fit great. While the shell itself is likely new and looks nice, and was covered with a plastic adhesive film to protect it, the fitment is a bit off in places like edges and corners. Also, the power button doesn't stick thru far enough. 2. The hinge for top screen works and holds in place, but the "click" of it feels really gross and like something is wrong or going to break. 3. The battery did come fully charged, and the console powered on right away. It is the default 1750mah battery capacity. 4. It did come with a 4GB microsd card. The contacts looked scratched - I replaced that immediately with a 32gb microsdhc. 5. I received no charger with this unit. 6. As others have stated, the 3D feature of this console does not work at all, and cannot be calibrated. It's just completely blurry and does not work correctly. 7. The upper and lower screens both seem to be in good condition. They were clean, but the touch input on the bottom screen needed calibrated, as it was off. The top screen had some flecks of debris, and there is even a black speck stuck under the screen in one area, or it's a dead pixel. I have not taken it apart to check for fear of damaging it further. 8. I was able to reset the system to factory defaults and get the country region corrected (originally was Anguilla, set it to U.S. with no issues). I have been able to play my physical Pokémon games on it without issue. I was also able to setup an account for the eShop and get updates for the games, even though the eShop is closed down now by Nintendo. Overall, I suppose I'll be keeping the console, as I really just needed it to play Pokémon games with my kid and be able to trade with each other. However, I feel this console is excessively overpriced with the quality issues mentioned above. I could fix most or all of it, but then I'm looking at putting more money into it than I already have. Having experienced this all myself, and seeing all the other reviews where people have had excessive issues, I would strongly caution to reconsider purchase from this seller. Too many quality issues. If you're looking to get a 3DS that is just simply able to play your physical games and is not in "Excellent" condition that you paid extra money for, then take a risk and buy one of these. ... show more

  • Not worth it
Color: Galaxy
Where to start... There's no SD card, so good luck trying to play games, you know, the whole reason for getting it. The top Galaxy cover looks like isn't flush with the console, like it's not made for it. The back cover is isn't even secure onto the console. The 3D effect is broken and looks absolutely trash. The game card slot barely works, which I guess doesn't really matter since you can't play the game anyway. I get that it's a used system, so expecting scuffs and wear and tear, but this is not it. ... show more
