I bought this for my four channel JBL amplifier, it was recommended to run at 4 gauge. I have a 1987 Dodge Pickup. I was redoing all sound related (and many other) wires in the truck at the same time, Getting true Oxygen Free Copper cables was important to me. I also didn’t want a super shiny power cable running around with my otherwise unflashy truck. I’ve used welding wire for starter cables and ground cables, but I was tired of buying it by the foot from the battery shop. I purchased this cable, and a nice lug crimp, and now I can make professional looking heavy gauge cables at my leisure. I will definitely be buying this brand in the future for any such projects. I didn’t measure the gauge, but it was plenty thick compared with any other 4 gauge wire I’ve worked with. Not super fine strands of copper, not super thick either. I went with this wire to power my amp and sub. The quality is superb way better than the China stuff you find here. I didnt wanna cheap out with wiring since they can corrod and cause issues over time. This wire is amazing quality. Its one of those thing that you get what you pay for instances. The wire is easy to maneuver, the copper fibers are thin enough for great flexibility. I will say though if you plan to use this inside of a car the rubber insulation does have a smell. Price was right, seems like nice flexible cable but the odor is pretty strong. Tried wiping it down with brake simple green, brake cleaner and mineral spirits and it still smells a lot. Probably fine for garage/welding applications but might leave odor in car/van/closed in use.

Bought this to extend a welder ground cable but have not put it to use yet. Sometimes they are asking for reviews before you even receive the product. This cable looks great and the seems to be tough enough. Good flexibility.
