  • Save money buy a everlast Welder
I have to admit that I was a little skeptical about this machine performing. I have been welding for 25 years plus. And I've used all the high end miller welding equipment for years and Lincoln welders too. But so far this machine runs great. I upgraded to using a air cooled 200a CK Tig torch . For when I'm not connected to the water cooler. And it works very well. And when I'm running the water cooler I'm using the torch that it came with. And it runs very smooth on 3/8 aluminum plate. And hopefully in the future I'll test out some thicker aluminum welding. So far I'm very pleased with this welding machine and customer service experience was also great. ... show more

  • Great welder! Fun for aluminum
I purchased this and the water cooler. I used this machine to weld a lot of 1/4" aluminum and it worked like a charm. I really love all the features you can adjust and really dial in your arc. I like that it comes with both air and water cooled torches, and both foot and finger controls. I'm just now playing with the DC side but so far its been great. ... show more

  • missing the water cooler plugin on back of the machine ...
missing the water cooler plugin on back of the machine had to get a bigger junction box and add a standard 220 wall socket to utilize water cooler that I purchased. with the welder. Other than that, this machine rocks does everything i needed it to do and give me the control i need !

  • Pretty hard to beat for the $$$$
Updated 11/1/2018 Welder is still working absolutely flawlessly, would buy again and recommend for sure. Such a great machine. Updated 1/8/2016 I have been using this machine for about 3 months now, It's a great machine for the money. I purchased it with the $450 matching cooler (worth the money imo). This machine replaced an old 800lbs Miller Syncrowave 300. I was looking at Miller Dynasty 350's but just couldn't bring myself to drop $9k. I had purchased a 2016 AHP Alphatig 200 about a month prior to buying this machine and was really impressed with it's quality for an import. I wanted something with a little more power as i sometimes do heavy aluminum and copper welding. This machine's power output is far greater than my old Syncrowave in both AC and DC, i notice i run this machine at about 20% less amperage than where the old rotary dial showed on my old machine (not that the old dial imagined to be accurate, just an observation). I did a large copper job and was running at 300amps DCEN on my old machine, when i did some additional work on this machine i was running closer to 240 amps, this was on 1/8" thick 99.99% OFE copper plate. The DC power on this machine is SMOOTH, and the pulser works great all the way down at low pulses,1-2 pps, up to high frequency pulse at 500 pps. ~~~~In AC mode i did notice that the output of the machine hits a wall if you run in sine or soft square, in other words you can turn the amperage up but when you have the pedal mashed the live amperage displayed on the screen is much lower and reaches a max which i don't really care about as running in straight square wave (machine calls it advanced square) is much better for me anyway, as the penetration is better, and the ability to run the AC balance low in square keeps the tungsten nice and sharp.~~~~The ability to run up to 250hz in AC really helps concentrating heat in tight corners and is a luxury i never had with the old transformer machine i upgraded from. The overall quality of the machine is nice, it comes with a nice air cooled and water cooled torch, stinger, short ground. 2t/4t torch triggers on each torch. the Pedal isn't the best quality i have seen and the cord is rather stiff and not very long, but that's not the end of the world and there are plenty of aftermarket options for a 47kohm pedal. Overall i'm very happy with the machine, and would definitely buy it again. Edit / Update to area marked above: So after about 6 months of use the main control board failed (machine would not turn on, only fans would run, I called Everlast in SF and they were extremely helpful, I talked to their main tech and he explained that i had one of the early models of the machine and they had made a hardware revision to fix this and some other issues, heasked if i was comfortable replacing the part myself, which i was. No further questions asked i just sent a picture of the serial tag to them and about 5 days later a new board arrived direct drop ship to me from China. Opened the machine up and made the swap. Machine went back to perfect operation and the above issue where i couldn't run max amperage in AC waveforms other than square was fixed as well. I have now had the machine for almost exactly 1 year and love it. ... show more

  • Good value for the money
The machine is more than I expected, welds great. Only tried it on the AC setting for aluminum, so far. Only two minor issues, the fans are very loud and the TIG torch cabling is a bit stiff but they work well. The Everlast people were great to work with.
