The media could not be loaded. 19July2023 = 6AWG Gauge Cables are of top grade quality. Hefty and very easy to flex and bend. I wasn't 'shorted' in the length I ordered, in fact ...my black cable had a little over an inch extra (thanks). I most definitely will give WindyNation more future business. Cable specs ARE printed on the both the red and black cables. I didn't count how many strands but hopefully the pics help you decide. The insulation is pretty thick. It might not be easy removing the insulation with ordinary wire strippers. I included a picture of a 6AWG copper lug on the cable for illustration purposes only. The 6AWG copper lug would not go on the cable unless the insulation is removed but after the insulation was removed the lug fit pretty loose (it was not a snug fit)...the lug can spin and fall out unless crimped or soldered. Very nice quality and appears to be exactly as stated. FYI - for anyone that has not used both solid copper wire like this and copper clad aluminum wire -- the difference is night and day. This wire you can smooth out, slide an electrical connector over, and crimp without much difficulty. You bend the wire and it stays put. The cheaper copper clad aluminum wire does not stay put when you smooth it out -- it bounces back making it harder to stuff into a crimp connector. I've used the cheaper clad wire a couple times when I rewired light fixtures that had the cheaper wire -- and when I tried to twist the wires together they just bounced back making the end of the wire look like a pin cushion. This is the good stuff. ... show more

This will be used for a 5.1 kW battery bank. Fuses will be 125 amp between each battery and this wire. Looks great so ordered 2/0 with lugs to go from bus bars to inverter.

Very high-quality wire. Pure copper, fine strands, and a heavy rubber jacket. As for the "Value For Your Money" star rating I would like to give a 3 but it is just that copper wire is very expensive these days and no fault of the seller. I am very well pleased and I highly recommend this wire.

I bought this for my four channel JBL amplifier, it was recommended to run at 4 gauge. I have a 1987 Dodge Pickup. I was redoing all sound related (and many other) wires in the truck at the same time, Getting true Oxygen Free Copper cables was important to me. I also didn’t want a super shiny power cable running around with my otherwise unflashy truck. I’ve used welding wire for starter cables and ground cables, but I was tired of buying it by the foot from the battery shop. I purchased this cable, and a nice lug crimp, and now I can make professional looking heavy gauge cables at my leisure. I will definitely be buying this brand in the future for any such projects. I didn’t measure the gauge, but it was plenty thick compared with any other 4 gauge wire I’ve worked with. Not super fine strands of copper, not super thick either.
