The only possible complaint I could make is that assembly is long and involved. On the other hand, it has a lift top and a sliding top, and I knew that when I ordered it. So, the fact that it might require some time to put together shouldn't come as a surprise. Also, I did have some trouble putting the screws for the lift-top arms in all the way. You might want to use a Phillips screwdriver electric drill bit instead of the Allen wrench/screwdriver tool that comes included. I like the storage. As someone who owns two cats who are constantly knocking things off tables, I appreciate the fact that I can keep small items in a space they can't access. The item makes a tasteful decoration that has a somewhat rustic quality and not too posh-looking. Also, the table is very strong. I can actually sit on it. I really love this item. So, I was very excited about this product. I’m still are. The color matches what is shown. The instructions are a little bit tricky and must pay attention to every detail. DONT DO IT YOURSELF. We bought this coffee table a few months ago and are loving it. It definitely took a little effort to put together, but the instructions were easy to follow. We love the feature of the lift in the table, and the sliding part also gives a little extra storage. We had to readjust the lift portion to get the crack between the two tops more even, which was a little frustrating, but ended up working out. It feels like a very sturdy table, considering the material it is made out of. The slow close option on the top is very nice, but a little abrupt at the end. So, if you had a full glass of water sitting on it, it may splash over the edge a bit. For the price I think it is a good option for people who need extra storage in a small space.     • Where do I start?

The blister, the splinters... the loss of my sanity. This was the hardest thing I've ever had to put together. The instructions were brutally hard to understand. The pre-drilled holes almost pointless. DON'T use the provided screwdriver, use your own and make sure it's magnetic because you will almost certainly not screw the screws in straight the first time and have to do it over. The STUPID LITTLE CIRCULAR SCREWS are the worst and once in are impossible to get out. The instructions will tell you not to screw in the screw with the black pieces on them all the way, don't listen to it because after you spend HOURS putting it together you'll realize the screws did need to be all the way in to get the circular screws to tighten all the way or the table shakes. The whole thing is just a complicated peice of cardboard and if I hadn't already gotten rid of my previous coffee table and spent SO much time and energy putting it together, I would return it. Not worth $75. Not worth the effort. Not worth the annoyance. Okay now I've calmed down a bit, the table isn't so bad. It's pretty stable once you get it together correctly and rhe drawer is a really nice touch. Pretty cute and a good size. Still stand on the directions being an absolute nightmare. I was looking for a mid-century coffee table and this one looked like that look that I had in mind with a rustic touch. For this price point, I was concerned that I was going to get a low quality piece but I was wrong. It looks great! It does not appear like it is going to fall apart any time soon or for a long time. I even have a heavy audio-video receiver on the bottom and the coffee table seems to handle it well. Glad Amazon has great furniture pieces at such low prices. Grateful! It is not hard to put together. I did it all myself despite the instructions saying you need two people. Could be done in 1 day but I spread the assembly over 3 days since I had other things I had to do so it does require time but if you are not busy then assembly could be done in 1 day.
