Using this is very convenient and works very well with the app and has made life pretty easier. The only issue is the limited lack of preset buttons as four isn't really enough to have all the color options that I'd like. But as it is it is really good and there have been no issues using it.

The 2-gang wall box in our 3 year old house needed to be trimmed to receive the WIZ dimmer switch because the bottom left edge of the dimmer rear cover crashed into the wall box housing mounting flange preventing the dimmer from seating properly. I was able to trim the flange to make it fit. See pictures. I've removed and replaced dozens of switches/dimmers/outlets/GFCIs in old and new homes over the years and never had this occur. Just a minor glitch in design I suspect. Otherwise, it works as advertised, though the auto detect function did not work and it had to be added manually to my network. The quality could definitely be better for its price; it's made of cheap plastic and the buttons are a little flimsy. So far so good! My only complaint is that this was not clear until I read the back of the package: "Do not use this dimmer to control WiZ smart bulbs or other brands of smart bulbs." As far as I can tell WiZ makes no manual switch, other than their remote, with which you can control their bulbs. EDIT: I ended up using one of these in a different location in my house, with ordinary, dimmable LEDs. The fixture I was replacing had hard-attached wires for connecting to the house wiring. This meant I had to scare up a couple of short pieces of suitable wire, as the WiZ dimmer does not come with any. Connecting was pretty straightforward, as long as you can figure out your line and load connections, and, of course, have a neutral in the box as well. As always, if you’re uncertain, it’s better to hire an electrician than hurt yourself. My only other complaint is that for some reason the mounting screws provided with the unit would not engage in the holes in my pre-existing plastic box. After wrestling with it for a few minutes, I removed them and substituted the screws from the old fixture which engaged and fit just fine. The unit is large enough that you want your wiring to be well tucked back into the box. Connecting to Wi-Fi requires using your Wi-Fi capable phone, and I had a couple of false starts before I tried the manual process, which went pretty smoothly. Alexa popped up right away (on my phone) to offer a connection, which is very helpful. I can now turn off or on, and dim my dining room chandelier. Two thumbs up. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have a bunch of these around my house, they are fast and responsive, easy to install. The only downside being that they are on a magnet that when press in an angle can fall, but it rarely happens.

Used it for kitchen and dining room. They are single pole switches after I found out you must use a white wire (did not have one previous) connected the installation was easy and simple to use. I have been a fan of Wiz products for years now and highly recommend them and love their app.
