These do work, but I recommend making sure they’re compatible with your LED lights before buying them. They didn’t fit mine, but that was my mistake. I made sure to order the correct 3-pin connectors, but my LED strips use a smaller connector, so these ended up being too large. They worked as intended—the issue was simply that they weren’t compatible with my particular lights. If they fit your LED strips, I think they’ll do the job just fine. Just double-check the connector size before ordering so you don’t run into the same problem I did. ... show more

TLDR: just take the extra step and solder the connectors together. This product has quality control issues. This product is nothing more than a quality of life product meaning it simply makes something easier. I create custom LED Lights and often have of pieces strips laying around that I use for another project. Normally I would solder the ends together where I need to combine two strip pieces together and everything was fine, life was good. One day while surfing the interwebs and specifically Amazon, I stumbled upon these things and thought it would be a huge time saver! I was wrong! The issue is with quality control of this product. Within the plastic snap casing (they can be hard to unsnap/open) there are 4 metal connectors, one for 12v (power), one for R, one for G, and one for B. The connectors are responsible for not only issuing power to each strip, but also controlling the color. The issue with quality is these connectors are not always aligned properly. Some of them are crooked/installed on an angle so they don't touch the pad enough to actually draw power. Additionally, some of them do not sufficiently apply pressure to the LED connector pads for the power to relay to the next strip. This will cause either no power to the next strip in the line, or colors that won't work. I've attached pictures to illustrate how this impacts the end product. In my pictures red is working fine but green is not. I am giving this 3 starts because I didn't have any issues on one project but on a 2nd project I fought with these connectors. There will not be a 3rd project as I am reverting back to soldering. In my pictures I installed the LED and tested each color as I installed. However, when I actually installed the LED and hot glued down, the issue manifested itself after I realized what was going on. Needless to say, I had to remove a bunch of LEDs in a otherwise finished product. ... show more

These work pretty good. I can’t tell the perfect part because my LED lights are bought from a 3rd party on here and they are smaller than the prongs used on these connectors so it’s been a challenge. May need to get a Soldering kit for my circumstances! They are also cheap (:

Absolute Garbage. I tried these on a 3PIN 10mm RGB strip lights. I spliced, spliced and spliced again using up 10’ of lights trying to get these to work. Everything was lined up perfectly DID NOT WORK. I tried squeezing with pliers and I got one to work momentarily, as soon as I let you -nothing, bupkis. POS, Do not buy. These actually work. The little guitar pick is useless, snapped immediately. Very carefully use a box cutter to pop the connector open. slide the box cutter under the 4 connectors to lift them ever so slightly so you can slide the LED strip into them without damaging the LED strip, and then use the back side of the blade to firmly (but gently) press the metal connectors down again. Close the clip. (I had to use a small set of pliers) it takes a couple of minutes. Clean and neat. Good solid connection. I will but this brand again. ... show more
