I replaced the original laser in my Wii with one of these about 3 months ago now. It's been working without issue since then, and it was cheap; so I can't complain. It does have the protective static jumper in place, so you will need to remove that before finishing the install - you'll need a soldering iron. Otherwise, just refer to tutorials that are out on the web, and you'll be fine installing it. ... show more

    • Tried 3 and all 3 didn’t work…
I ordered two of these lasers and neither one worked. I ordered a replacement for one and it didn’t work either. Paid about $5 more for a different brand and it worked immediately. I would not recommend this particular laser replacement as they were 0-3 in my experience.

    • Part was clearly used and damaged
The part I received was clearly ripped out of a used console and had burn marks all over it. A part of the ribbon cable had been burnt away and replaced with a blob of solder. Complete waste of time and money.

Dont work and the static solder was already unsoldered. Used? Didnt look used but dont light up in a know good wii. The solder should always be in place when shipping thats the reason it is there. Thats more than likely the cause of not working.
