This controller feels almost identical to the original DS4, and I played a couple rounds of a first person shooter switching back and forth between this and the DS4. The placement of buttons, angles, distance, everything is pretty much identical, making the switch between controllers nice and smooth. This controller was a bit stiff at first, but after having it for a couple weeks, it now feels like it is broken in. - The analog sticks particularly felt stiff to start with but seem to be working great now. I haven't had any issue with stick drift at all. - I haven't needed to use the touch pad yet other than as a button, but I noticed that it doesn't respond at all like the DS4 touch pad when I try to swipe it to type on the on-screen keyboards. Maybe I haven't turned on a setting, or maybe it will only work when a game calls for it? I cannot really comment meaningfully beyond on that. - The battery life has been amazing. I don't know how long it has been since I last charged the thing; I've used it for hours and hours! - My complaint is the audio. It doesn't sound good at all. Like, it's not just that it's not good, it is TERRIBLE. It is a mono speaker sound rather than a 360 degree sound for both a headset and the controller speaker, which doesn't work for a FPS game. There is no depth whatsoever to the sound that comes through the headphone port, so instead of hearing and feeling the thunder of an approaching tank, it just sounds like a small weed whacker or a very large bumblebee is following me around. It also is difficult to distinguish between sounds, as it all kind just sounds high pitched and messy (hopefully that makes some sort of sense). The sound coming out of the controller speaker is about the same as what comes through the headset. It's bad enough that I am going to buy a different controller for any FPS or other single player games. For those who don't intend to use headphones a lot when you play the PS4 (i.e. when playing in person with other people), I would absolutely recommend this controller. In fact, I ended up buying a total of three over the space of a couple of months. However, I will be finding a different controller with better audio for my own personal use. ... show more

The controller took a while at first to connect to my console, but once it did, the controller functions fine. If you are need for a new controller and need one cheap, then this is the best option 👌🏾.

I knew what I was buying before I bought it but would still say save the extra money and buy the PlayStation controllers.
