My family has used these nets many times already in the past few weeks. The kids especially enjoyed them for catching insects and river creatures on recent vacations. The quality is excellent - much better than average butterfly nets. The colors are spectacular and fun. The telescoping poles are lightweight and easy to compress for travel, take along in a backpack or bag, adjust the length for smaller kids, etc. The price per net is higher, but it's worth it for a durable net that should last several years. Seemed nice at first, but both bent pretty easily after trying to catch some minnows. Not much could be done to fix them. Maybe OK if you stick to butterflies and stuff.

We’ve gone through about 6-7 of these style of nets in the past. They work well but they take a beating and eventually need to be replaced. The handles on these are the best I’ve seen so far. The squared off style feels very strong and thicker than our last couple batches of these nets. The net itself is slightly smaller than I expected it to be but still good for catching minnows and crawfish at the creek. Got this for $25 for a 3 pack and that is a very good price for the quality. Only reason I’m taking off a star is because that was the strongest plastic smell I’ve experienced in a long time. Like it’s really bad. They really should have let them air out for a bit longer(or at all) before bagging them at the factory. Highly recommend opening these outside when you get them. ... show more
