So, for the price, you can't expect too much. It comes with a carrying strap and a bag. It also comes with a 32GB card, which was nice. Don't have to buy anything. Out of the box, it feels very cheap. It has seven (7) IR levels to choose from. Levels 1-6 are pretty much a waste. When you hit #7, you can see pretty good out to about 50 yards maybe. After that, it goes down hill pretty quick. You can see a little, but not very much. I've tried it out a couple of times this past week while hog/coyote hunting at night. Again, out to about 50 yards, it's okay. The seller claims a distance of over 900 ft. Maybe during the daytime, but at night, that claim is a flat out "fib". I used one of my extra IR lights that I use on one of my guns sometimes. Using that light, I can easily see anything out to 100-150 yards. Having a better IR illuminator is the key. That said, it isn't practical to hold an illuminator while trying to hold the binoculars. If you have an IR light that you can mount on a stand or something that would work great for adding distance. If you go that route, be sure to get an illuminator that uses 850nm. Some have 940. A 940nm IR light will not work. Also, the term "binocular" is a little misleading. You cannot put it up to your eyes like a regular binocular. You have to hold it out in front of you and look at the screen. Bottom line, for the price, I didn't expect much. It works "okay". If you are just going to use it in your yard at night to look at wildlife (up to about 50 yards), it will do the job just fine. Although it works, my 3 star rating is because it feels really cheap and the claim of a range of 900 feet at night is laughable. ... show more

    • Very lightweight Night Vision "binoculars". LCD screen a little counter intuitive.
Comes with everything included. 32 GB memory card, neck strap, battery. Good. Decent picture as you try to look around in the dusk. Seems to enhance the light quite a bit (without the IR light modes) if you look around in dusky evening light. The IR thing did not do much for me, at least not on objects of any distance away. Maybe a question of preference, but the whole "look through an LCD screen" is a little foreign to me. Although an LCD screen might serve a dual-purpose of being able to view recorded images, it feels out of place when using it as a "binocular". The LCD screen means to have to hold the thing out a certain distance from your face for your eyes to focus, and with no auto-focus on the device, you are basically holding the device with one hand, while trying to focus the image/lens with your other hand if you are scanning an area with varying distances. The whole "hold it up at a distance from your face" thing also means that with no image stabilization any shake is translated directly to the image you see. Especially noticeable if you are looking at objects at a distance, where each little handshake is magnified. I feel it would have been easier to look through a standard set of binoculars resting against your face. VERY lightweight, which can be both good and bad. It makes it very easy to hold, while also makes it appear as more of a toy than a real tool. I'd say largely something your pre-teen kids might have some fun with. ... show more

Despite the low cost, this is a usable option for night vision. However, for the most part the budget minded nature of the device is evident and it mostly comes off as a entry level device. Out of the box you essentially get an all in one kit - the device, user manual, neck strap, charging cord and a pre-installed micro SD card. The battery is internal and is charged via USB on under the rubber flap on the left side area that also houses the memory card. Also, I have to give a shout out to the included velvety black drawstring storage bag. So soft and svelte. Now the terms binoculars or goggles might not really be appropriate here as this is more of a weird front screen night vision viewing device. Yeah, it doesn't exactly roll off the tongue but these are definitely not binoculars nor are they wearable goggles. Nonetheless, the front LCD screen shows the goods here and can be adjusted for sight via the front lens or using the digital zoom which is among the top buttons. This obviously isn't optical zoom, so don't expect to be blown away and the range really is only suitable for close to medium distance fixed position objects. IR levels are also adjustable, but it's not hugely dramatic until to get to the last few levels whete night essentially becomes day. I have no idea why they didn't condense this into maybe 3 IR levels, but ultimately it works in dusk, dark or even in daytime if you have nothing else better to do. All in all this is very much a budget minded device and the plastic toy feel seems to take precedence over the functionality here. It does do the job, but the range and capabilities are fairly limited so trying to track moving objects or any great distance is not gonna be great for that unfortunately. However, for closer, stationary objects it does the job at a low cost.
