This set has so many tiny accessories. I'm back and forth on whether that's a good thing or a bad thing because I appreciate the detail but some things can be easily knocked over (which can be frustrating) and possibly lost. I guess that's true for any tiny parts though. I like the larger furniture pieces the most, like the tub, toilet, and cabinets with working doors. It's definitely deluxe. It includes all the bathroom essentials and then some. I don't have enough free space in my starter home for such a full set, but it still makes a nice display on its own. All of the Calico Critters sets are very well made and detailed. Although some of the pieces are small, I put trust in my 4 year old to take care of them and she hasn't lost a one in the last 6 months! :-) Seriously, if you're like me, kind of fed up and disgusted by all the overtly sexualized dolls out there for our daughters, the Calico Critters line is the solution! My daughter plays with them a lot - more than any other toys - and I love that they bring out her imagination and creativity. It's hilarious some of the adventures her critters take! ... show more

Gift for my niece, she loved them and this was the first thing she wanted to open once all the gifts were unwrapped. (She turned 3) The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is because some of the pieces were too tiny. I know they are going to be small but the scoops of sand were riduculous. They were lost in less than a min. I told my sister about them so she would know what they were when she came across them later, but weeks later still hadn't seen them, and she is a great house keeper. ... show more

I bought one of the large CC houses and several sets of critters to get my two little granddaughters started and my older granddaughter (almost 5 years) was very concerned that they didn’t have a potty .. Seemed silly at the time but now all is right in the world for my precious granddaughters and we can all sleep well lol! Seriously, all Calico Critters products are high quality and adorable and my little girls get hours and hours of playtime with them .. Definitely recommend! ... show more

Grand daughter is very happy, a little bit of simple assembly is required. Advertised for 3 and up, but I think it should be more like 5 and up. There are many very small pieces. Bathtub and sink hold water, but tub slowly leaks so be sure to keep it on the floor supplied. Need wall for one shelf piece, but we attached it to the small chest of drawers by hot gluing a wide popsicle stick to the back of the drawers, then attaching the shelves a couple of inches above it, so a towel could be hung from the bar. After assembly, it was one freestanding unit without need for attaching shelves to wall. Thought it was a good value. ... show more
