I was thrilled to find some inexpensive controllers for my PS3, not wanting to invest too much into such an old, yet still working, system. The Ewnol controllers fit that bill very well. At under $10 per controller, how could anyone complain. They sync up just fine using the included cables for initial recognition and future game sessions recognize them without problem. Control layout is identical to my original controllers and the weight is seemingly equivalent. I get around 3.5 to 4 hours of use out of them. Buttons and axis controllers work fine, a little stiff, but I think it will take some time to loosen up. Stiffness doesn't affect my gaming and for the price, my expectations are very well met especially considering that these are wireless controllers. I would highly recommend these to any PS3 user.

I gave away my one dual shock 3 controller and was left with the sixaxis controller that came with my original PS3. I pick up these ewnol wireless controllers for PS3. It came with two mini usb cables, which is nice since they're no longer common place. However, it would have been better if the controllers were usb C. I connected the controllers to the USB port of the PS3 and both paired up instantly. The buttons are a bit stiff, but the triggers are analog and play decently on grand turismo. My sixaxis controller's analog triggers are slightly better. With these ewnol's, it seems around the 85% pull mark the car will start moving in gran turismo. Not bad for an aftermarket controller. Rumble/vibration works as expected. Unfortnately, the L3 and R3 buttons are hard to press for some reason. It might be because the controllers are new. It's not shown in their product page, but the face buttons have some 3d symbols. So instead of x, triangle, square, and circle, it has a 3d x, pyramid, cube, and cylinder (not sure why it wasn't a sphere). Other reviewers took pictures of it, so you can see what I'm talking about. I've already memorized the playstation layout since Sony hasn't changed the face buttons since playstation one, so I don't mind the weird icons. I assume they did that for copyright or trademark reasons. I tried to use the motion control, but it doesn't appear to be working on either controller and I'm not sure why. I can't even calibrate them in the main settings. Maybe mine are just faulty. Not many games use motion control, so I'm fine with that. I am also very pleased with the price.

These controllers are a very good replacement for my original PS3 controllers, the layout and feel is exactly the same as the original controller. And when I am using them, unless I look down at the controllers I can't tell if these are original or replacements. The buttons are a bit more stiff than my 14 year old original controllers, but that is to be expected as these are brand new. Another slight difference are the printed symbols on the buttons, likely due to copyright reasons these can't have the exact same X O square and rectangle images printed like on the original, but it seriously makes no difference because I never look down at my controller while playing games. The one thing that I'm annoyed about is that these really should have come with the new USB C ports that everything these days has, so that it will be much easier to charge with any USB C cable I have plugged in around the house. Instead these have the original USB ports from 15 years ago so I'll need to make sure to always keep a seperate cable just for these controllers. But this still deserves 5 stars because it allows me to play my PS3 and all the awesome games from that era that I collected and still play.

Pros: Good price, roughly $20. So, this is an ok deal for the price. The controllers are usable and the basic features work. You can play for 4.5 hours without a recharge. Cons: There are several issues that will make a gamer pull his hair. Unfortunately, the buttons are very sticky, so one has to press the buttons very hard to make them work. The L/R triggers and D-pad are ok, and the L/R 360 joysticks are stiff and not very precise which makes it hard to aim, but you can still move around. The start, stop, and P3 buttons are soft sticky rubber, so it feels like it will give out after a while. I will update my review with the results of the battery life tests after I have more time to using them.

My official controller was on its last leg and it finally gave out which prompted me to grab an aftermarket controller. This is the controller set you should by if you are still getting use of your PS3 gaming console. Analog sensitivity works just the same as an official controller and will sync up to get you back into the game. And it’s not just one controller but 2 controllers!!! Keep the legacy alive and get this bundle at a great price

These are pretty much carbon copies of the DualShock 3. I don't know if they have the magnetic (hall effect?) sticks like the real DS3 did, but for the price, I'd say that it's not the end of the world if the sticks go wonky after some time. They look like they are real DS3s from a distance, but then you see the weird symbols on the buttons and the "P3" label where the PlayStation logo was, and you go "Oh." The photos in the listing don't show that there's a pyramid, cube, weird looking donut and today's Twitter logo button, but they're there on the real controller, instead of the 4 symbols Sony puts on theirs. No issues whatsoever in terms of performance or latency in my testing. I was able to use them on my PS3, and on my PS2 with a Bluetooth adapter (which is really what I got these for). Nice set of wireless controllers for a solid value.
