  • Why Buy Anything Different
Color: White
Why spend so much more money on an actual Apple pencil when this works just as well?! It is easy to hold and charges quickly. A charge lasts at least a full day of use and it comes with extra tips when you need to replace one!

  • Works well
Note: I have not actually used an Apple pencil - I am looking at the feature set Apple advertises for comparisons. This pencil pairs up easily with my iPad (11", 4th gen). I have easily been able to repair it several times as I've done a few resets to the iPad for other reasons. There's no complicated sequence to repair either - it detects it isn't paired and goes into pairing mode. Pen writes smoothly. If the app supports it (or the brush supports it) it has tilt sensitivity and will vary the line weight based on tilt. I can write like I am writing with a pencil or tilt and shade like I would with a pencil. It came fully charged. And the charge last awhile. One downside is there is no external indicator showing how much batter you have left. You have to pull up the battery information via the iPad. The pencil is magnetic and will hold against the side of your iPad. Because I have a case on my iPad it will still stick to the iPad magnetically - but it won't charge. The charge functionality does work - but I've got to remove the iPad from the case. If you don't (or can't charge) wirelessly you can charge via a traditional usb-c. I have concerns about how long before the little usb-c port cover disappears though. It is a tiny piece of rubber that isn't easy to replace because of its size. The pencil is a comfortable size as well. It is the same thickness as a traditional wooden pencil. The one feature this pencil does lack is pressure sensitivity. If you press harder - it does not change the line weight unlike the "real" one. I will likely pick up the real thing at some point - but this pencil makes a good choice if you are trying to save money, wanting to see how much you'd use the pencil before dropping the big bucks (this is the camp I am in), or as a backup pencil to have on hand. ... show more

  • Alternative to an Apple Pencil 2
Color: White
I have an Apple Pencil for my MacBook Pro but was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Apple Pencil. This one fits the bill and is working great for me, but I also do not use the Apple Pencil to its full potential. I write with it some and occasionally draw some simple drawings. This one is working the same way can't say I could tell the difference if you just handed it to me with out me knowing which one it was. It has magnetic charging just like the AP but I have had it turn off at times when it's on the iPad Mini 6 charging port. Not a big deal just tap the on/off button on the top. I am assuming that this is a power saying thing. It also worked on my wife's iPad Mini 6. Also has the option of charging via the included USB cable. ... show more

  • This 2nd Gen better than first
Color: White
I have what I believe is the first gen third party pencil as well as this new one. Both are the exact same size and feel identical. They both look exactly like the original Apple Pencil . This new one is much better than my old third party Aliexpress pencil in that the top button is actually a physical button to turn it on and off versus the old one where it was touch sensitive. I like the physical top button more because I get a clicking confirmation that I activated the pencil. I like that this new one has a USB C port as well as a magnetic wireless charging compared to the old one only having wireless charging. Battery life for me was around four days of casual use. My 7th Gen IPad was able to pair with it and I was able to see the battery life as if it was an original Apple Pencil. My new IPad Pro M4 was also able to pair with it as well but for some reason wireless charging wasn’t working. Might be an Apple thing. Haven’t tried on the older iPad Pro wireless charging feature yet but don’t doubt it will work. One thing that I don’t like is turning on the pencil only requires one press of the top button. I find that the pencil was accidentally turned on while in my backpack. Should be a long press or multiple presses to turn the pencil on. ... show more

  • It's not as good as the Apple pencil, but for the price, it's great
When I bought my iPad Pro, I also purchased the $129. Apple pencil. I didn’t really need it, but I thought it was cool. I probably used it for a total of an hour before I lost it while on vacation. I had no intensions of spending another $129 replacing it, and I’ve getting along just fine without the ‘magic’ pencil. Then I saw this pencil, it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that the Apple pencil has, but it’s a fraction of the price. It charges when magnetically attached to my iPad or it even has a USB-C port for that, if needed. It has always had power when I used it, so the charging works well. It doesn’t have some of the double tapping features of the original, but I don’t mind the few extra seconds it takes without that feature. Depending on what tool you use, you can vary the width of your stroke by slanting the pencil. It comes with a few extra tips but I’m sure, by the time I’ve worn out the first one, I will have lost the replacements. I don’t think you can go wrong with this ‘pencil’ at this price. ... show more

  • Scribble and magnetic charging
Color: purple
I got this pencil to use with my purple iPad mini. I wanted to find something that was similar to the Apple version. I a surprised that this really works! I can write with it, using scribble - and the magnetic charging is a huge game changer. My old pencil needed constant charging with an old fashion cord, which was sure was super inconvenient. Now it just charges automatically. Battery life is good so far because I have not had any issues even after using this for a long time. The only thing is that the color is more pink than purple, lol . It comes with additional tips, although I can't imagine why you would need so many tips. Unless you are just losing them or smashing them against the floor. I think it works great so far and I am super thrilled that I found this option for my Ipad. ... show more
