The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using this Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto adapter for a month now, and it’s a solid addition if your car doesn’t have built-in Wireless CarPlay. It does what it promises, though there are some quirks. The connection at startup can be a bit laggy, but once it’s up, the audio quality is excellent. The Android OS and Play Store integration is a cool concept, but the interface is sluggish to navigate, and downloads to the device are slow even with a strong internet connection. What I really love is the ability to play downloaded audio and video files directly from the device—it’s a great way to broaden your media options on the go. However, I’ve noticed that after extended use, there are significant delays with Google Maps on Android Auto. I’ve had to unplug and replug the device to reset it, which usually resolves the issue but can be a hassle.

This is the only carplay dongle running on an android based software that I like, and that I can actually use as an android tablet. The android OS is able to update, google services are fully functional, you can log into youtube, and everything else just works. I commute long distances and like to use the youtube feature to have videos in-sync with the audio. All of the apps update when you set your phone as a hotspot or when connected to a nearby wifi hotspot like at a mcdonnalds/starbucks.

Very clunky . The mouse cursor will not let you scroll up or down. Always shows carplay even though I'm using android auto. Must have hotspot available. And no phone mirroring/ screen cast. Not for 2021 Lexus . Not sure about other years

I did not really care for this little device. I found it challenging to connect to my suv. I wanted to do this before a road trip but I was unsuccessful. I didnt try installing it anymore since I no longer had need for it after our road trip.

It works but it sucks. Every time I get an alert on my phone, it turns off the music that you are listening to. That means every email or text or if you look at your phone, it turns off. I have experienced other adapters and never had this issue. Maybe it is me and I need to change something but others I have used were plug and play with no issues. I would not recommend this. Gave it 2 stars because it works as long as no alerts go off on the phone.
