The media could not be loaded. I wanted a budget microphone for creating short films and vlogs. I bought 4 different microphones to compare. I ended up keeping the EACHSHOT mic. Here’s my ranking: 1. Eachshot microphone (ASIN B01N9O7KWY) 2. Boya BY-MM1 (ASIN B07NNBX4K2) 3. Sairen VM-Q1 (ASIN B082B1DX9K) 4. Fantaseal microphone (ASIN B07Y8GK8T5) The Eachshot mic had the brightest, clearest sound of the mics tested. Includes: microphone, shock mount, dead cat, foam cover, TRS to TRS output audio cable, TRS to TRRS output audio cable. The Boya mic is popular amongst video creators, but the sound was rather muted compared to the Eachshot. It lacked a certain crispness. Includes: microphone, shock mount, dead cat, TRS to TRS output audio cable, TRS to TRRS output audio cable, storage bag. The Sairen mic was good at picking up higher frequencies, but generally sounded muted compared to both Eachshot and Boya. It also has a few very minor flaws like the foam cover being somewhat hard to put on and the smart phone cable not being labeled (it’s the TRRS - the output with 3 black bands). Includes: microphone, shock mount, dead cat, foam cover, TRS to TRS output audio cable, TRS to TRRS output audio cable, storage bag. The Fantaseal mic was by far the worst. Although loud in volume, there was a lot of background static noise with and without the dead cat. And the dead cat was impossible to put over the microphone because the opening is too small. I only have on con with this product better components packaging, items looked like something that had been returned and refurbished..after watching a unboxing video featuring the Boya BY-MM1 it became obvious this is how they ship their items. My expectations were a little too high I guess, but as far as the BY-MM1 sound and build quality goes it was exactly what I expected very good at it’s price point the sound reproduction was accurate indoors. It is a little heavier than the Rode mic but at almost half the price I very happy with my purchase. Glad I bought the Boya BY-MM1. ... show more

    • Awesome GoPro attachment!
Does an awesome job with GoPro! Have to have the adapter to hook it up to GoPro. Be aware, obviously taking a side piece off of the GoPro so you can hook this mic up to the GoPro makes it vulnerable to water. I film on my boat at the lake and two gopros drowned after taking a dip while I was fishing on a windy day. If around water and chance of GoPro being submerged be very careful or just consider not using this in that situation and use windscreen instead! Expensive lesson learned! The size of it is good. That’s why I got it. The sound quality is meh. I thought the sound would be better, but I guess you have to have a computer to clean everything up. I like that you can hook it to both a phone and a dlsr. I like that it has something to block the wind. It seems pretty sturdily built ... show more

    • Great price for the product. Has added better sound quality to our videos.
Disliked the mount for the microphone, cracked on the first try mounting the microphone. Real bad quality of material for the mic mount but everything else is really sturdy. Luckily we will just be using for live streaming or blogging at home. But be gentle when mounting. I do have hammer hands. 😂😂

    • Very sensitive, good build quality
I originally bought this mic for producing music, however it is extremely sensitive which makes it more suited for dialog asmr and other similar uses. Other issue I had was that it did not come with anything but the mic itself, unlike the image.

    • Produces Nice sounding audio!
This microphone is perfect for first time audio recorders, it pick up sounds and filters out white noise much better than the on board microphone of most canon DSLRs. The foam and faux fur diffusers got lost very early on and wouldn't stay on the mic so i never used them. Over all a great sound producing product. ... show more
