I would give this set of cabinet/drawers 4.5 if possible, only because some of the instructions could be clearer and some of the illustrations are slightly different than the actual parts, and the wheel attaching process could be better. But I'm surprised at how solid and sturdy the wood feels (compared to other times I've gone with cheap furniture) and I had no real problems putting it together. I can see where some of the reviewers had problems, especially with the drawers. I also had to reverse one step (take the top off) because instructions didn't make it super obvious that I needed to install the back panel during a previous step. Super obvious meaning like Ikea makes their instructions. However, if you very carefully look at every step and diagram you should be fine! I noticed the pictures of the drawer rails don't have the same number of holes in them that the actual pieces do. I used a little common sense and made a *complete test drawer* to make sure I got it right. The way the wheels attach to the bottom is very flimsy and screws were going in at all directions because the holes don't line up that well with the holes in the wheel plate thing. Having said that, they all got in and the cabinet is standing strong, full of stuff, as I write this. It doesn't feel weak, it just seems like they could have lined those up better for my peace of mind. I was nervous buying this cabinet because of the one start reviews but now I feel like it deserves my rounded-up 5 stars to compensate for those. It's exactly what I needed, nice combination of big cabinet, small drawers for random crap, and a narrow profile. Looks good too!

This unit is very similar to the IKEA ALEX size and style but not an exact match. Still, YouTube assembly of an ALEX unit if the instructions are unclear, as the process and parts used are virtually identical. For its price and availability, everything in this line is a great deal. I'd suggest using wood glue to reinforce joints and seams especially along the drawer bottoms and to tighten everything up. Study the illustrations carefully and it will make sense, as the drawer rails are in the exploded (non-assembled) view so it's easy to mistake which holes they orient towards. Once done correctly, all drawers insert and operate smoothly and the upper cabinet is a nice touch. Highly recommend.

The storage cabinet is in my laundry room to replace all the storage space I lost when I bought a stacked washer and dryer. My previous washer and dryer each had a large storage drawer at the bottom. I am very happy with my purchase. I myself did not assemble the cabinet. Amazon offered assembly services(not free) and I did not hesitate because my head would have exploded if I had tried to do it myself. It was stress free to pay for a professional to put it together and all I had to do was put the cabinet in its location. The top storage is where I can put detergent bottles, etc, and the easy to open drawers are great, with enough room to store a number of other things.

I love love this cabinet. It’s sturdy and looks so good. I did not put it together but my boyfriend said it was not fun. I’m thankful that he is handy and figured it out. If you are like me and struggle with putting together furniture, I’d recommend having help.

Love the cabinet. Had my cousin assemble it so I don't know how hard it would be to assemble. It took him awhile. Got a lot of compliments on it. And thinking about adding a low longer one.

Nice cabinet. Assembly was a little difficult. Make sure you definitely look at every detail of the photo instructions. Once we labeled each package it made it a bit easier. Assembly took about two-three hours.

I followed other's advice and laid out all pieces and marked them before I began assembly. This helped immensely as the instructions do not have words but are only photos with each part identified with a letter. Pay close attention to the photos, especially the close ups for details. The unit went together fairly quickly and all of the holes lined up. The manufacturer was very helpful in helping me when I did not follow the directions exactly and needed assistance. A very good experience. I would purchase additional products from this company.

This is garbage. Nothing lines up right. I'd ask for refund but it's together now. We're going to hate this piece of furniture for the length of it's existence in our home. The drawers are going to be annoying. They are difficult to push in and pull out and you have to juggle the drawers to get them pushed in right. The directions are terrible to follow. A label for each piece in the manual would make it easier to follow. The holes do not line up in one single place. One of the lock wheels arrived broken. The parts bags were open in the box with screws spilling out.
