Should Have Found These Years Ago
My entire life, my family used the same metal, card-table-style TV trays from at least the 1980s, possibly from the '70s. Over time, they became wobbly, kind of rusty, the pins had started coming out of the legs, and the decals had peeled off the surface. Last month, they finally gave out, so I went looking for a sturdy, solid wood, affordable replacement set, and ideally a set that would have a bit more style than the last ones. These trays are exceptional. They match our espresso-finished living room furniture perfectly (ALMOST black, but not quite), and the surface has a beautiful shine, like any high-quality finished wood - but more importantly, they're solid as a rock. No more worries about losing our dinners to the carpet. You can lean your elbows on them while you eat, and they don't go anywhere. Plus they're exactly the right height for sitting on a couch, and they seem to be heat-treated, because hot dishes don't leave any steam marks under the finish. (Not sure whether condensation might leave water marks on them, because we use coasters on them - we plan to keep these looking nice for as many years as possible - but I'm sure they'd stand up to moisture just fine, too.) They're very heavy, but that just makes them sturdier, so I'm not complaining. Anyone who might have trouble grabbing them from the top should carry them by the edges on each side. My mom has arthritis and can handle them just fine. The best part, besides the great quality, is that I found them on sale for almost half off. So if they're out of your price range, add them to your droplist and wait. They're worth it.

Awesome finish
These tv trays have a great finish. They have a much bigger top than the ones I replaced and are much thicker and sturdier. They are built well. Not sure how the finish will hold up over time but they look and feel amazing. Much much better than the old ones I had. I highly recommend them.

Sturdy & nice size top, height not adjustable
The color says Coffee… box had 1 coffee and 1 Black!!! I do not feel like boxing back up and driving to my drop off point 10 miles away, so keeping them. But it’s going to bug me I know! They are heavier than thought would be so that’s nice. Height Not adjustable so measure how high you want to sit at to use. Wood leg slides along small metal bar/wire, no notches to fit into. Just one position. Haven’t used or wiped-up yet so didn’t want to give a five star, and started with four star Because of weight and sturdiness.… they do not wobble on hard floors. Don’t think the tray will slide in use—but be careful when moving them around since leg doesn’t lock in, just slides, it can be a finger pincher! Seem great-except for two trays in one box being 2 different colors! Big enough to play solitaire cards on or maybe 2 people playing across from each other. Probably not a puzzle table. I plan to use to eat on occasionally or have my iPad on when I’m couch. They do fold flat for storage.

Very stable and nice looking tables.
I’m so glad I ordered these folding tables/trays. They came completely assembled. They are easy to open and close, very sturdy, and stable. And, easy to stow away in a closet or against the wall behind a chair. The coffee color and finish is very practical. I use at least one of them every day.

Very Nice! 👌🏾
Good and sturdy, attractive design. It's a little taller than most folding trays, but that means the legs are not expanded too wide. This means the position of tray top rests closer over the lap, making spills less likely. This is a useful aid to help with caring for my elderly mother. I'm very pleased with this purchase. 🤗♥️
