Ok, so these were unexpectedly fantastic, especially for the price. I’ve used several different tv tray sets over the years, and have always dealt with wobbling, creaking, and stiff products. These were a pleasant surprise though! The flat top is quite thick and solid, and the mechanism to open and close the trays, though simple, works smoothly. They are a very nice, cool tone gray. The size is perfect for eating at the couch. They are narrower than some trays I’ve used before, but personally I prefer this. For the price, it's a good deal for a pair of these tables. I originally just wanted one to use as a place for my coffee when working on my laptop, but it was cheaper to buy a pair. I wish they were just a bit larger, but they are still good for what I need. They seem sturdy, more or less. I would not trust leaving something heavy or breakable on this type of folding table in general, especially for a long period of time. Best to not tempt fate. On the top surface itself, there are a couple of spots where 'wood filler' is visible (color mismatch), and the texture is pretty rough in a few areas, so it seems they missed a few spots prior to staining. Both are cosmetic issues I can easily fix myself, or just ignore. Overall, nothing to make me want to return them. With a better finish, it would definitely be a solid 5-star product. I'd purchase again if I ever needed another pair of these tables. ... show more

Wood is good! That's what these are made of. Metal parts very metal. Slides nice. Up-stands with no wibble, no wobble. Floor, carpet, deck, up-stands on all equally! Go home, Gravity - you can't mess with these. I can put my lunch on this bad boy, doesn't fall off. Fat cat uses it as bed, doesn't break. GET OFF my table, Fat Cat! I don't want your hair in my lunch! Bad Cat. Tables weigh less than regular kitchen chair and fold like origami made by wood-scientists, so easy to carry around and put places. Finish very nice, very smooth. Fat Cat run and jump on top of table, slide off and land on floor. We all laugh. Stupid cat. Table seem sure, last long time for sure I believe. Built nice. May buy two more later on, maybe just give one to stupid Fat Cat, he cry all the time. Happy we got tables, cheap enough but still quality. Would tell people yes, you be glad if buy these - work well, you can't pass a deal up like that! Also ask if maybe they want Cat for free. Just Kidding, Cat has to stay. He's so dumb but we love him. I grew up with TV dinner tables and realized I needed a couple in my older age. Got these two and these are STURDY! They're the perfect width for almost anything I'll ever need including eating with 2-3 dishes. Each is like 7-8 lbs each. I got the light colored solid real wood. Feels kind of unfinished though but totally not a deal breaker, esp at this price for this quality. Very satisfied, exactly what I was looking for, very steady and sturdy.
