Arrived with no hardware for mounting the ball stand. Had to go to local hardware store and get (4) M4 bolts washers and wing nuts. It was just the inconvenience of having to do that, and no recourse so it is what it is. The mat the product mounts on is heavy, I am older so my head speed is fast but not like my sons. I move this thing a good 3" per hit. I put it on a larger mat and that seems to solve the movement problem more. This is great for practicing your set up, back swing, swing plane and all the other basic fundamentals of the golfing swing, it is not for determining swing path or head speed as the ad infers, However it is great for practicing golf ball contact somewhat, because of you miss hit, and hit the hard rubber base, the report from the club to your hand will let you know not to do that again. the reasoning is the base is lifted about 1.75” above ground level, so your swings need to be spot on or choke up, because a miss hit resonates. I like to practice my swing and the other fundamentals listed above, and this seems to lend itself to that function fine, but you could do that with any green mat or no mat whatsoever…. I gave it 3 stars because it did not come with all the necessary stuff to set up and it is a fair product but nothing to get excited about. I've had this over a year, and it's holding up well. I don't use it regularly, but it's exactly what I need if I don't have time to get to the driving range, and I want the feel of a full swing. I saw a lot of 1 star reviews of folks that had the thing break on them, I think that's possible as an outlier-- maybe swinging too hard. And the guy that broke TWO clubs!? - dude, this is not the trainer for you. Tip: One minor adjustment I make is I choke up on the club because the product is raised about 1.5" above your feet.

No golf tool takes the place of instructor led swing instruction. However, once you have a good swing at the practice range with your instructor, unless you are at the driving range/golf course every day, muscle memory will fail you. Using this tool, I KNOW when I have hit a great shot. The rotation of the golf ball on the cable is obvious. More importantly, the SOUND of hitting the golf ball solid and square is a loud cracking noise that is pleasing to my ear! Miss hits of the club on the mat or the cable will be very annoying and will drive you to work harder to hit a great shot. Yes, ALL the screws must be frequently retightened after hitting 100 shots, but this is a minor inconvienience and takes very little time.
