I wish they sold a wider version so I don’t have to put so many on a sliding back door but definitely smooth. I recommend washing the window first, then grab a bucket and a sponge and just wet the entire window then apply after peeling off

Tools included: - Knife - tape measure - spray bottle - squeegee with soft and hard edges I used the film to cover some glass walls in my coworking office. I was able to cover from six feet to three feet off the floor on two panels. I have used film like this before so the process was familiar to me. The recommended installation process for this film is a little different as it suggests that you put the transparent backing sheet on the front of the film after removing it from the back to avoid scratching it as you smooth out the bubbles. I didn't do that part of the process and I didn't find any problems with the scratching using the soft side of the squeegee. I had to cut along the edge to get a perfect fit on the edge of the window using the tools include. That worked well. Just slide place the knife and the hard edge of the squeegee against the frame and pull both along the edge. I will note however that the non-adhesive side (exposed) of the film is fairly rough. Basically the non-transparent coating is not smooth. I didn't have a problem with that, but some applications might require a smooth finish. The adhesive side of the film was smooth obviously as that is what is required to attach to glass. The overall quality of the film was good. It was fairly easy to remove bubbles. The included tools enabled fairly easy installation. One major callout is that the included tape measure is about 30% inaccurate! A 10 inch measurement was only showing up as 7 inches on the included tape. It was almost funny how bad it was. The millimeter side seemed accurate. This didn't significantly impact my installation. In general, I would have no problems using this film on another application.

reason I purchased this product was for the tools, no knife, squeegee? ha...3 inch piece of plastic with felt tip...now film itself is OK, keeps sun/heat at bay..little firm, don't expect perfection, but it does what I needed..

I was looking for an alternative to blinds or heaven forbid, curtains in my garage. I wanted something to keep the UV rays off my cars and not allow any prying eyes to see inside. This stuff is exactly what I needed. It does everything I wanted plus, it's pretty simple to install and can come off easily if your needs change. Remember I told you this...The key to making this film look great is starting with a really, I mean really, clean window. If you have to, spray the window with cleaner and scrape it with a razor blade to remove surface impurities like paint spots or bug droppings. You'll be glad you did. then just cut the sheet to a little larger than the glass, spray the glass with water (they say soapy but I have luck with straight water), remove the backing, apply the film and use a soft blade (I use a rubber blade used to apply Bondo to cars) and work the water and any air out from under the film. You can move the film around as long as there's still water under it. When it's all in place and free of water and bubbles, use a box cutter or X-acto knife to trim the edges right up against the frame and run your soft blade around the perimeter again. After you do one window, you'll get the hang of it and you'll enjoy the results.

This kit comes with everything you would need. Along with that plastic roll it comes with a little water bottle, razor blade, scraper, and measuring tape. After measuring the window I made some marks for the size and used the very sharp razor blade to cut it. I cleaned the window and sprayed it with water with the little water bottle. It was very easy to then put the plastic up. I posted 2 views the inside and outside. I could have taken more time trying to get the plastic to completely get the bubbles out but wanted to know what it looked like on the outside. The outside view is beautiful and better than expected. You can't see any of the remaining small bubbles in the outside. It will definitely create privacy where you want it as well as filter light. It will wait to see how it looks during the day and update how much light comes through.

The one way cling free window tint came with a water spray bottle, trimming knife, spatula which one end was covered with felt and a measuring tape. The tape had cm on one side and inches on the other side. please don't use the side with inches as the spacing is inaccurate. I used a tape measure and marked on the silver side since that had the removable Saran film then with a T Square I used the knife to cut the length I required. The knife is very sharp and did a great job, sliced the film with ease. Saturated both the window and the film with water used the included squeegee and slowly pressed (not too hard) to remove the air bubbles. I did this myself and it wasn’t too hard to install either. I like the one way reflective privacy (during the daytime) with the dark gray looking outside view. The window installed the cling free faces South and gets a huge amount of heat during the day. I definitely sense the difference in the room temperature. This one-way daytime static cling privacy window film worked out well for me and it looks good too from both sides. I also have a camera in my window and it has not affected the camera in any way. I'm pleased with this product..
