Well the plus side is that this Skull was much better quality then I anticipated, the only down side for me was that I wanted it to hollow out and install a magic eight ball.......This was a lot more difficult since the skull is such good quality and resin.

The best prop skull I could have ever found! It is a light enough weight and sits well on its bottom. The only concern that would be needed is that the jaw is separate from the skull itself, but can be easily glued to stay in place.

    • Jaw Not Attached!
This really can't be beat for the price. It's a perfect, life-sized skull. The lower jaw is not attached at all, and the upper jaw and head just sits on it. Ours broke at the condylar process, which we had to tape back on. Otherwise, this is a great purchase.

You can see where certain parts have been resculpted but overall it’s pretty accurate. Accurate enough for a sculptor to use. Thought it was unfortunate that the bottom of the jaw was ground flat. Overall good for price.

This skull is good quality, but absolutely not life size. At least not for an adult. I have an anatomically accurate replica of a child's skull and it's much closer to that, maybe a 10 year old give or take. I'm not going to return it because it's my own fault for not checking the measurements provided, but the title is misleading. ... show more

    • Best skull I've found for this price point.
No complaints. Looks good, takes paint very well. I personally like that the jaw is a separate piece, so if you decide to display it without the jaw you don't have to fight with it - it's easy enough to just glue the jaw in place if that's your preference. I wouldn't throw it hard at a brick wall, but the durability is fine and its solid enough for whatever reasonable purpose you might have. It's resin, so if you're going to be sanding it or cutting into it with a rotary tool, wear a respirator. I also wouldn't try to turn this into a drinking vessel for the same reason - resin isn't food safe. Considering you'll pay the same money for a flimsier, less accurate skull at someplace like Spirit Halloween, I don't think you can go wrong with this one. ... show more

VERY nice. Much more elegant and realistic than anything you can buy at a Halloween store. Pleasantly weighty which surprised me and was kind of not ideal for my intended purpose (making a wreath), but BECAUSE the skull is more detailed and realistic, it has cavities that allowed for some lace ribbon and binding. I did have to glue the jaw on (e3000 or whatever that craft glue is), which was a small annoyance and I'm sure a hinged jaw would drive the price up a lot, so I'm more than pleased. Honestly, I kind of love the bone tiara look in the product info, and that kind of spooky whimsy is part of why I bought this skull over another. The color is a very classy bleached/cleaned type white. Not entirely realistic, but gorgeous. None of the faux dirt and grime. Overall? GREAT purchase. Likely to buy another in the future. ... show more
