I think in my head I thought 35" that's close to 40 and therefore close to 4 feet so I had toddler height in my mind. When the very small box arrived, I thought oh not as big as that. The head is about the size of a fist on an adult and most of it's height is in it's legs. Posing is very limited. The wired part on this is the legs and arms but not the hands or feet which just flap back and forth. Therefore it cannot stand and it cannot grip. When it's in sitting position (since it can't stand) it's about 10" tall. You can wrap the arm around objects but the hand just has to rest on something and it's a flat hand in a single piece so it doesn't bend except at the wrist joint. The skeleton joints are a plastic pin in through a double hole in the bones and that pin has nothing on the other side to keep it there. When I got mine the whole arm had fallen off and I had to reinsert the pin to put it back together. Not a lot of handling because of that. If I saw this in a store I think I would value it at about $10-$15 so if you factor that this is shipped and probably has shipping built into the price $21 isn't a super stretch. The skeleton is plastic and very lightweight. I think it would be most at home as a table decoration, on a mantle, or on a food table near the punch bowl. This scared me right out of the box. I had to run to the restroom as soon as I opened it! Luckily I made it in time. After putting the skeleton in the yard with our hollowed Garfield decorations we decided it was a bit out of place. The next day when we got up the skeleton was gone.
