I can't wait for next week to use this tiered stand. I'm not sure whether I will stack the tiers or spread them out. Assembly was easy even though the directions in the box were for a completely different stand. It was a little wobbly but when we loosened a couple of screws and tightened them again, we got rid of the wobble. I think a doily for each tier will help the cakes, cookies, etc. to stand out. This is a perfect tea party tower! It is very nice looking, but still light weight. I wouldn't put anything too heavy on it, but it worked perfectly for our finger sandwiches and scones. While not in use, I have them as three separate pieces to display my tea pot and cup collection.

I've had this for a couple of years, and several uses I'm finally getting around to writing this review. The thing about this serving stand is that it's very cumbersome to put together. I'm guessing that most people, like me, only use an item like this at most two or three times a year. And it takes up a pretty big chunk of real estate in the cupboard to store it assembled. So, every time I use it, I have to take a good 15 minutes or so to put the darn thing together. It's not difficult at all, just time consuming, especially since God help me, I'm just not that bright and I have to re-do at least two or three of the legs each time because I put them on backwards. And you have to make sure that you don't lose any of the screws or wing nuts. Which is another issue. Why on earth would they use wing nuts for assembly? They show! Here is this lovely cake stand, with freaking wing nuts poking out the bottom of the trays! Who thought that would look okay? I mean, granted it's not hugely obvious, but when there are other options, why would they do that? The plastic trays are very flimsy. It's just a matter of time until one breaks, then the whole thing is done. Overall, I'm just really sorry I bought this thing. There are much better options out there. ... show more

These trays do look nice and they are pretty sturdy. However, when stacked they tip very easily. These trays would be best to use as a viewing or to pass along when serving. When left stacked as serving trays they tipped very easily.
