I have to admit my primary selection criteria for these were cost when I found them, but after getting them and using them I was pretty impressed at the value and the quality. Before going into my review, I want to note that most of what I need this for is metric, using a modest impact driver (<120lbs force). The SAE set was more of a bonus to my purchase. First on measured tolerances on a sampling of these: 6MM actual: 5.93, 7mm actual: 6.99, 8mm actual: 7.94, 9mm actual: 9.01, 10mm actual: 10.07, 11mm actual: 10.97, 12mm actual: 11.95, 13mm actual: 12.98, 14mm actual: 13.99. Now on the SAE (smaller sample): 5/16 (should be 7.94, actual 7.93), 3/8" (should be 9.53, actual 9.51), 7/16" (should be 11.11, actual: 11.02). Methodology: 3 samples taken using caliber, averaged. Measurements resolution to hundredths which is the limit of the caliper. Now on the surface: it appears the surface is cold black oxide processed and there is a decent layer of magnetite on it. This coating provides roughing/bite on the socket surface which is nice. It feels velvety and doesn't slip around in your hand. The bad: the coating is a poor reflector of light which can make them hard to find if you're working in dark spaces thanks to the stealth coating LOL. This is not a show stopper in my book. Summary: This is a solid 5-stars in my book. These are well machined... and not a disposable/junk set. The price is right, and you get a decent selection of both metric & SAE. Its a safe buy. If anything goes wrong with them in the next 6 months, I'll update this review.

I got this set for around $33, I think it was, can't remember if that was a discounted price or not. Regardless, this set is really well-made, feels like good strong steel, the ratchet is comfortable, and the sockets and extensions fit various sizes, etc., perfectly. After years of having parts and pieces of an old craftsman socket set that didn't always seem to have the sockets I needed, this set has been terrific! I think it's a great value for the money, and I highly recommend it.

For the price you can’t go wrong have not had any issue with the sockets at all not even the swivel and have used impacts on them all day long they take the abuse and work great. Only complaint is wish the paint was alittle more tough but socket quality matters more which is perfect

I do all the maintenance on four cars in our family + stuff for other folks. Would I like a premium socket set? Yes. Would I pay for it? No way. I was expecting this set to be low quality due to the price. It's actually a nice set that I should be able to use for many years. Where I can't get an impact wrench I usually use a socket and ratchet and a hammer. THis set is nice enough to hold up to some necessary abuse.
