Good quality firebrick, dense and arrived very well packaged with no cracks or other signs of damage (which can always be a concern when ordering something like this online.) However, I'm docking a star because the image they use for the listing is extremely misleading. As you'll notice from looking at the stats, the bricks are only .75" thick. That's fine for my purposes, but someone who didn't look closely at the listing might see the pic of what looks like six 2" thick bricks and choose this instead of a more expensive option and wind up with bricks that they can't use because they need something thicker. My fireplace is a prefab wood burning from the 1980's. The two sides were black metal, and back was bricked, and cracking. I chose the 3/4" brick for the back, and 1 1/4" for sides. They were so easy to cut to fit the sides. Fireplace now looks so much brighter and better. Highly recommend.

They are very brittle in comparison to the firebrick we have got in the past. Seem to hold the heat okay in the pieces that are usable.
