I purchased White Uber Goop a month or so ago 10/25 (appox) after we noticed rust stains near the drain on the dish washer. After looking over the rack, yip several places on the bottom rack had rust stains. Used my drill with a wire brush installed to remove as much rust as possible on the dish washer rack. Applied a small amount of primer on the rust spots with a q-tip. It's like the primer used on vehicles before painting. The next day I applied the goop, insuring I covered all the rusted spots well. Then applied a second coat. The goop spread easily. After running the washer through a regular cycle, the goop held up well and did the job. I highly recommend the product for ease of use, reasonable price, and doing what it's supposed to do. I have no complaints just praise. A+++++ ... show more

    • It worked on the top of my Samsung washer
It was easy to use. I had a thin little line of rust forming along the indent design on the top of my Samsung washer, caused by small amounts of laundry products and water spilling in that area and sitting in the crease. I used the little sandpaper that came with the kit and sanded the inside the crease. Then I used this paint along the crease line. Some went a little outside the crease, but it matched pretty well and just gave a little extra protection. It looks good and hopefully it will keep any further rust from occurring. I'll "try" harder to keep it from happening again, but if it does, I'll use more of this paint. ... show more

    • Gets the job done
I was pleasantly surprised how well this worked. I have a dishwasher that is more than 20 years old. I found many rusty spots on the rack and this took care of it. It was gooey in the beginning, but it became solid after it dried. It was able to cover all the rusty spots. It does not peel off after running the dishwasher. ... show more

It works for a short period, but soon the rust will take over and the racks will just need replacing.

    • No better goop
Follow the directions and you’ll be fine. An easy fix. It may be more difficult to remove your racks than to put this stuff on. Make sure you can remove them. Though, I suspect there would be areas where it would not be necessary. Your mileage may vary.
