Overall, I love this bar cart, but I ran into some problems during assembly. As other reviewers noted, the shelves are solid wood, which is great, but the original color didn't look like the photos--it was very light (sort of an orangey-blonde)--so I refinished the shelves before assembling. I purchased longer, stronger screws (1 1/4") to attach the top portion to the base shelf because the provided screws weren't that great (the top sections are held together with very strong, solid bolts that go through holes in the shelves and are then also screwed in around the metal flanges). When I installed the casters, one wheel was off the ground and the cart wobbled pretty badly. I had to remove the piece of hardware that the caster screwed into, shim it with a small piece of wood that I cut to fit and glued to the shelf with wood glue, re-install the hardware through the shim using longer screws, install the caster, and THEN it was level. The problem was that the metal pipe on the upper shelf section on that corner of the cart was slightly shorter than all the rest. It was a hassle, but the finished product is great, and we love it. I also purchased some clear "grippy" plastic shelf liner to put on the shelves to keep glassware and bottles from slipping. ... show more

This is heavy! There are no lightweight flimsy pieces here. I was impressed with the quality and size of the parts. The written instructions were awkward but certainly understandable and the pictures were accurate. The assembly was straightforward and easy until it came time to install the bottom shelf. Our unit did not have any placement markers or predrilled holes for the screws securing the bottom stanchions. This was insurmountable but it was aggravating as everything else had been well thought out and executed. I resorted to using a level and my calibrated eyeball to position the shelf. The manufacturer included a slim wrench for attaching the wheels and a clever little screwdriver for driving the 16 screws that secure the bottom shelf. I would have happily given this 5 stars across the board if they had pre-marked the bottom mounting locations. This is a substantial, sturdy, attractive piece of functional furniture. The packaging issues mentioned in the previous reviews are well over exaggerated. I rather have a package like this over wrapped to protect the materials then something that takes 10 min less to unpack. With that said, the assembly can be difficult because the instructions they provide is very limited. One thing I noticed is that a lot of the pipe pieces NEED to be manually tightened before being screwed down. This is important as it will dictate the sturdiness of the cart when everything is put together. I did mess up when I noticed the alignment was a bit off simply because there is no marking on the last piece of the wood on the bottle shelf. I had to readjust and play with how tight the screws are. Be very careful with over tightening, as you will need slight leeway to get the alignment if the shelves perfect. The pictures show the finish product and also the before bar I was using. A huge improvement in space even tho the diamenters of this bar is the same as my old one. This took about 2.5 hrs for me but I took my time and used my own tools. ... show more

    • Great product but had to drill holes myself on third wood shelf…

The product overall is great however the third wood shelve came with holes only for the wheels. There was no other way of attaching it to the rest of the set unless you drill your own holes to screw into the metal bars. Not sure if that was a defect or how the product comes but it was very inconvenient and was gonna be inconvenient for me to replace it either way. Regardless of that issue, I would still recommend this product. Just keep in mind that you may need to do some handy work so have your tools ready. ... show more

This cart has made a nice addition to my space. It was easier to assemble, but the instructions were almost non-existent so it was really just an attempt to copy the pictures. It is very study and I do believe I will have it for years to come. Overall it is a good deal for the money and the quality.

Love the product. My only issue is, I wish the 2nd shelf was as tall as the other two. Most regular size bottles will not fit on the 2nd shelf.
