This is a great body cam. At 1080p the picture quality is excellent; very smooth frame rate and the color balance and light transition from bright to dark is quick. Low lighting recording is possible before the IR filtering kicks in automatically (can be set to manual). The sound quality is clear, even spoken words and noise from a distance is distinguishable on the recording. Audio can be recorded separately without video. Everything is saved on a micro SD card and can be view via the built-in 2 x 1.5 inch display or through a computer. The data are stored in separate folders; audio are saved in WAV format and stored in the AUDIO folder, photos in JPG format in the PHOTO folder, videos in AVI format in the VIDEO folder. There is a LOG folder that consist of TXT files. Each file corresponds to each day the body cam is in use and gives a detail list of every action that was preform on that day, i.e; when it was turn ON/OFF, video or audio recordings and when it was connected to a computer. Controls on the body cam is very simple. On one side, there is a ON/OFF button, and Audio ONLY button. On the opposite side, the Video, Photo and Menu buttons can be found. Video and audio recordings can be made even when the body cam is OFF; simply press and hold down the video or audio button for 3 seconds and it will start recording. To stop recording, just press the corresponding button again. The body cam can be configured to respond to sound and when it detects motion. There is also a ‘Car Cam’ mode, where it will turn ON when it detects power (i.e. starting the car) and powers down when the car (power) is turned OFF. A important note; the cable that comes with the body cam is for both data and power, if you use another Type-C cable that is not configured for data to connect to a computer, the body cam will not recognize it and would not show up on the computer. This is a must have for anyone who would like or needs a video record of their actions. whether for enjoyment (social media/personal record) or legal (traffic stops) reasons.
