I was a bit hesitant about the sizing, but it actually fits my 10 year old girl very well. She is tall for her age (58" head to toe, 48" shoulder to top of foot), but slim (75 lb). It fits snuggly (how a real wetsuit is supposed to). It is about 1/2 inch above her ankle, which is actually good with booties that come above the ankle. She can bend and move unrestricted and it actually gives when trying to remove (inside-out), even wet. It actually feels like good material when compared to my 4 mm 500.00 scuba wetsuit. As regards to keeping her warm, she said it helped, but she could feel the cold of 68 degree water after about 30 minutes of wading. It is only 2.5 mm so that is to be expected. I will be buying again when I need to upgrade the size. ... show more

Note that this is our first wetsuit purchase and it am by no means an expert on what these things should/shouldn't have. We bought this for our little one who takes swim lessons and gets so cold that they can't concentrate well in the lesson. For that purpose, this is great! My kid couldn't' swim in our park district pool without turning blue and telling me she was always cold. We don't live in the warmest state and she's still taking swim lessons late in to the fall. This suit was incredible for the cost. She loves that it keeps her warm and fits like a glove.

Fit was as described, (size 4-6 yr old) perfect for my 48” tall 5 year old. Amazed at the quality for the price. Used on a spring snorkeling trip and at the beach for sun protection. Seams well glued and stitched. It will definitely last far longer than she will fit in it.

This is my first experience with a wetsuit... I thought it would be the same fabric as swimsuit material. Imagine my surprise when I open and unfold this thick foam thing. Anyway, now I know what neoprene is. So it doesn't really seem that flexible or like it would be comfortable at all to wear. But that's just me I guess -- kiddo seems okay with it. She wears it for her swimming lessons because the pool is so cold. Had to return the large for a medium, for my almost 5 year old. Even that one still seems a little loose. She is a bit slim though. Normally wears size 4T for her waist size. Four stars because it seems to do the job but it had a chemical smell when I opened it that didn't go away after washing it. ... show more

I bought this for my 4year old granddaughter to continue swimming a little longer into the season, since we don’t have a heater in the pool. It fits perfect, she is a little shorter and 36 lbs. size large fits pretty good with a little rolling of the sleeves. Great deal for the price.

My daughter no longer shivers when she comes out the pool and swim class is more enjoyable. Takes a while to dry and she has back to back days of swim classes but if I remember to put it in a warm room then I have no problem. Will definitely purchase again when she grows out of it.
