  • Winning Generator
Style: 5000 Watts - Gas Only - Remote Start
This generator starts easy, runs quiet, is fuel efficient and is really well designed. It is easy to get to the oil and battery. As and RV’r, I have had several generators that were powerful or quiet, this one is both. Even the fuel fill is deep enough to fill without spilling, which may seem like a small thing but the last thing I want is a gas smell after filling the generator up. It was able to power my RV AC, water heater and microwave at the same time. The remote for stop start is just convenient and works great. This is a winner. ... show more

  • Quiet and Easy to Set Up and Use
Style: 5000 Watts - Dual Fuel - Remote Start
We have used this generator a couple of times this summer while camping. It works really well and was easy to set up! It barely used any power when I ran our air conditioner. We have a small Flagstaff A-frame camper, so I can't say how it would hold up with a larger one. I love the remote control option because we can turn it on and off while in the camper which is lovely when the weather is bad. I was very happy that it was a quiet generator, just as the reviews said. I was also relieved that it isn't too heavy. My husband and I lift it into the back of our truck without a problem. I have already recommended this item to a few family members and friends. ... show more

  • Overall, very happy with the purchase.
Style: 5000 Watts - Dual Fuel - Remote Start
I've had this now for about 8 months. I followed the recommendation of other reviews and bought a drain extension to make changing the oil easier and cleaner. I installed this before I filled it with oil the first time. Ideally you should buy this before you need it and break it in properly following the directions in the included manual as you keep it below 50% power and vary the load. Upon the recommendation of another friend I changed the oil multiple times during that break in period. I found lots of metal fragments in the oil each time I changed it during the break in. Once I was happy with how the oil looked coming out I stopped changing the oil. It ended up being something like 8 times. Maybe overkill, but I want to help the motor as much as I can for longevity. It's primary function for us will be a backup generator for when we lose power. As such, I only intend on using the propane function so I don't have to worry about fuel going bad. I've only done the break along with the additional oil changes so I have around 18 hours on it. I didn't even use a full 20lb propane tank. That wasn't a full service load either, but I was still happy with the fuel consumption amount. I like that the noise increases and decreases with the load and that it isn't just this constant steady loud noise. It's very portable with the wheels and handle and makes it easier to get in and out of the garage. It's a bit heavy if you were needing to lift this up (into a pickup or up and down stairs) but not out of the question. This unit about the right size for us offering the power we need for outages. I like that it has different types of receptacles to charge and power a variety of things. While costing more than other standard generators its a good value for an inverter generator. The included FOB worked great and I was able to remote start the generator from inside the house. During inclement weather this would be a big plus. I can't really think of any cons except for maybe access to the oil drain/fill. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase and it will pay for itself after the first multi-day outage we have by not having to throw away our perishables in the fridges and freezer. Time will tell on longevity, but so far so good. ... show more

  • Powerful, quiet, remote start. Messy when moved.
Style: 5000 Watts - Gas Only - Remote Start
I looked through a lot of generator options, and this one was a good balanced option between ease of use and load it could handle. If I need more load capacity, I can add another one in series. This is also the heaviest generator my wife could move around our property, if she needed to. If she used the extendable handle she'd get gas everywhere, but more on that later. It is very quiet for how large of a generator it is. Remote start is really really cool. The remote start fob is of automobile quality, battery included. This appears to be the most cost-efficient non-open frame generator available in early 2025, so despite my 4/5 review, if you are on the fence of a generator with a built-in inverter vs an open frame generator - get this one. I do recommend it. 4 of 5 stars because after initial setup, it left quite a bit of oil in the spot I had left it after it ran, coming from the panel for the oil dipstick and draining onto the wheel adjacent to that. That might be user error. The other contributing thing was that moving the generator with the extendable handle causes quite an oil and gas slosh / spill situation, so it's really not all that mobile once it's ready to run unless you're going over a surface you don't mind getting oil and gas on in which case the wheels are probably undersized for that surface (grass or gravel?) and because the instructions say to ensure you don't leave gas on the exterior plastic cover, you can't just treat it as a dirty tool when that happens, you need to wipe it up or risk damaging the cover. ... show more
