Honestly, I bought this thinking I was going to get a POS that did maybe two burgers and then was worthless... I'm buying a second one for work because this thing is awesome. Silicone rubber holds the plates loosely together when you put it in microwave. There is no pressure, just holds everything in place. I would recommend a plate or tray because the grease & water will be trapped on the bottom plate and when it moves, it may spill over, so a plate is best. No, you don't get the "Grill lines" that they show on the picture, but it does do a good job cooking burger and chicken and because all the juices stay in the bottom plate, it makes for some flavorful meat. I recommend seasoning just like you would on a grill and frozen burger patties cook decent in about 3-4 minutes... HOT. Clean up is pretty simple. Worst case was when I had accidently left it sit and forgot about it after a frozen burger and all the grease congealed on the bottom plate. Filled a bucket with hot water, put that plate into it and let it sit for a few minutes before pulling it out, washing it down like normal and disposing of the bucket water. 5 minutes top. Honestly, I'm ordering my 2nd one after this review.

I won't say the toast was perfect, but it worked. I wanted it to use in my RV. One side browned more that the other but I did not bother latching it shut, I just put the bread between the two sides and relied on the weight of the top one to keep it together. The silicone frame made it easy to handle and avoid getting burned by the plates, which I am sure are extremely hot. I put the plates down on a cook top burner when I took them out to make sure I did not start a fire or damage anything. They tell you not to use if for a prolonged period of time without letting the plates cool.

I've only had the chance to use it once, it makes very nice looking toasties, although I think I over cooked them and they were too crunchy for my taste, will try again with less time in the microwave, which will hopefully fix the too crunchy issue. On the down side, the two toastie makers ended up costing me a small fortune, by the time shipping (which was fast) and tax was added, I was probably better off going to the local camping store and buying from them. (I'm not sure if this will make it past Amazon ;-) ) but they did ask what I liked and didn't like, so there it is.

Havnt used it yet but it’s odd that it has no directions at all or even people giving reviews on TV he box, I seen one guys review about steak and how long to cook it on one side, I guess he had a thin steak but anyway he is the only help I’m going to use so thank you for the info, I wrote down the minutes. 4 1/2 on one side and 3 on the other. Thanks for the tip. Update, 9-11-23, I used this last night and cooked two small steaks at once for 4 minutes and they turned out perfect, medium rare, I cooked pork chops the night before and over cooked them but they were still moist. I think I’m going to love this, I just cook for my Dad and myself so it’s perfect. There’s not a lot of directions to follow so you just have to play with it. If the meat doesn’t touch both the top and bottom grill you’re going to need to turn it over and cook the other side but be careful there will be grease running out so do it over your trash can or into a can or something. I definitely recommend this.

I love this little thing for grilling without a grill or fry pan. It makes an awesome grilled cheese sandwich in the microwave, and keeps the bread delicious. The cheese melts nicely in about 90 seconds.

I was skeptical, but eager to try this. I get bored easily with lunch while at work that I wanted to have something unique and fun to eat. I bought this, made a ham and cheese melt added precooked bacon. To my surprise it was the best sandwich I've had in a while. Outside was crunchy, the cheese was melty and the meats were tasty. I was stunned that my work microwave, which is small and has low wattage, toasted my sandwich under 5 minutes.

It toasts but too dark ( almost burnt) and flattened too much. Cheese was coming out if the unit into my micro. I used the setting fir medium brown. I will experiment with the settings and adjust my review if it gets better. (Update) even at half the time, it does not work well. Cheese all over the place.

We have a large sandwich grill, but it's too much if all you want to make is a sandwich or two. I was intrigued when I came across this grill for the microwave. I've never seen one in stores. It wasn't expensive so I thought, why not? First thing we made were grilled cheese sandwiches. We weren't sure how many minutes to put them in for so the first one was overcooked and the second better. Then we decided to try frozen hash brown patties - delicious! We are going to try hot dogs next. Being able to use the microwave oven means the house doesn't heat up - very important in Florida in the summertime. Clean up was easy and it can be stored in or next to the microwave. These would make great gifts for co-workers at the office, college kids living in dorms, busy teachers.
