This generator is easy to maneuver and not as noisy as other generators my neighbors have. Its smaller size makes it easy to store in the garage under my work bench. I live in Houston and power outages are common with hurricanes and, even in the winter, when our grid system ERCOT went out for days a few years ago. Our most recent hurricane took out the power for many days. My neighbor had a slightly larger generator and ran a long extension cord to my refrigerator. That was when I realized I should consider investing in a generator!! Another friend in a town north of me had a Westinghouse 4650 generator. When his power came back after 1 day, he brought his generator to my house. We got the circuit breaker box wired and then hooked up the generator. It is easy to operate! It was enough energy to power my refrigerator and all electrical outlets so I had lights, TV, small appliances, and floor fan. It was Fantastic! I cannot turn on large appliances such as central air/heat, washer/dryer, oven, or dishwasher. But who cares? Normal power outages are only for 1 to 5 days. Some of my friends had installed the whole home Generac system after a previous hurricane. It is great but quite expensive!! They had full electricity for 3½ days but their cost was close to $20K!! For under $500 (including electrical wiring at the breaker box) I have enough power to manage for a few days. What could be better? ... show more

This is a really great value generator. From the moment you open the box to using it, it's well executed. Easy to set up. Great documentation/instruction packet included. So nice to have real paper materials and such that you don't have to download or scan a code, etc. just to view. Furthermore, it's just the right size. Not too big to store on a roomy strong shelf and not too small to power what you really need in an outage. Also, they very thoughtfully include everything you need to get this thing up and running. I received my new WGen 3600c this week. Amazed at how it came almost completely assembled. Took less than 5 minutes to attach feet and wheels. Then just added the included engine oil and gasoline. Started right away and was running smoothly within seconds. Attached some power tools and did my thing. Great product. Quieter than I thought. Well made. Great generator overall. Can run for hours on end even with the A/C going in our pop up camper. Not too loud, but not the quietest either. If it is not on level ground it will not start sometimes, but easy fix. Also in direct hot sun (90 degrees +) for several hours it does overheat. Normally does fine in the shade. ... show more
