Worth every penny. This thing is rock solid and holds temp [be it for cooling down stuff or having a brisket rest at a warm temp] better than anything i know of. The size is ideal for just about any need you'd have and the stainless steel finish is downright beautiful.     • Finishes BBQ off the smoker like no other ice chest or warmer.
It's hard to be a grownup and argue that $800 for an ice chest makes any sense. Having said that, it is beautiful, heavy, spacious and very effective. I don't take it out on activities like fishing or hunting MAINLY because leaving an $800 ice chest in a truck is begging it to be stolen, so it mainly sits on my patio and flexes on my friends. I don't need a week of ice on my patio BUT I have found an amazing use that helps me be super happy with it. When I take BBQ off the smoker at about midnight and place it in this tight latched cooler it 'finishes' my cooking wonderfully and keeps a food safe temp until one or two the next day. It was the missing piece to my BBQ regimen and tender but firm BBQ has become very consistent. I've used other coolers and warmers that haven't been as good. **mine came with a nice dime sized dent right on the front...luckily I'm the rare guy who prefers stuff dented and scratched but I doubt many other customers would accept that defect. ... show more

I wanted to purchase a "One And Done" cooler for my backyard patio. While I am not sure that you can ever really justify the price point on this cooler, it is pretty amazing. It is absolutely beautiful and built like a tank. The handles and front clasp are rock solid. The ice that I added to it on Saturday is still basically unmelted on Monday. While I am not sure that this cooler will exhibit any added performance over its all rotomolded, polyethylene counterpart, but it is one sexy cooler!! ... show more

Took our new Yeti camping in Yosemite in September to try it out. Bought one block of ice and it lasted All Week (6 nights) It was cooler at night and in Yosemite Valley in the fall there’s less hours of direct sun than in the summer but it’s already started to pay for the high price tag with savings in what we’ve historically paid for ice. (average of $5 p/bag p/day=$30 p/wk etc). It is physically heavy (35 pds empty) and requires two to lift when filled but for us it’s worth it knowing our food will be kept fresh and it’s nice having cold drinks after hiking and biking. ... show more

The seals are weak and ice retention is compromised as a result. Terrible value for money. Hinges are also poorly designed so getting in and out is a pain. Durability is compromised as a result of the material and scratches easily.

I own every type of Yeti cooler and this one is by far the best. Hands down. This one keeps ice longer and it almost has the same capacity as my Tundra 75 even though it is much smaller.
