Parallels are some of the most versatile workholding pieces in CNC milling, and they are normally used to securely raise a piece up in a vise. The different thicknesses allow the piece to be raised up in different increments, and to provide enough support to the workpiece while the machine puts downward pressure on the piece during milling. Our parallel sets are all made of stress relieved tool steel, which has been precision ground and hardened.
